Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is impossible to make contact. Communication with owner(s) and first impressions of getting a key and entry were poor. Different numbers were given on the app and on the doors. It's impossible to hold on to anyone. I don't know how they would deal with emergency without contact options. There are, however, cameras in the facility in the main entrance but no clear sign notification of it, which may be a privacy issue for someone. There are contradicting messages on the booking.com website and what is announced by the owners in private messages. The key for safe was not working, so it couldn't be used. Municipal tax is collected separately in cash, but on the website says by card only and no cash is accepted. Please declare yourself. Windows in rooms were not sealed - they were warped and not closing, and causing all street noise came to the room as if it were not closed at all. In the night it is a big issue as this city never sleeps and it starts to be very loud at 4-5 am. Only sleep with ear plugs is possible. The facility has great potential with room for improvement.
Location just opposite train station close to all attractions. Clean and spacious rooms. Kitchen and coffee express with very nice coffee, cooker, fridge, and freezer. WiFi and TV in room, air conditioning was working. Toilets with bidet as a great bonus! PLUS shower. Rooms are cleaned regularly, and towels were changed. Coffee with cream, juice, and cakes are also in every room. THERE IS PLENTY OF COVERS and spacious wardrobe. The is nice safe available.

GermanyThe room and the bathroom needs a renovation. In the shower is mold. The dirty towels were in bathroom on the floor, no one tooked them. We payed for the city tax but didn't received an invoice about it. The lady that cleans to rooms cannot speak 1 word in english. I was disappointed by all these things.
The Hotel is located directly at the central train station Termini. With the metro line one can reach fast and uncomplicated the Colosseum, Vatican, Fontana di Trevi etc.

AustraliaBathroom a bit of an adventure. Like all places in Italy, getting through doors and into rooms is like trying to enter a bank vault. And how two intelligent women could not find a TV channel still has us stumped.
Location perfect for an overnight stay. Comfortable beds, good air con and wifi. Bonus breakfast

AustraliaThere wasn’t any AC so we had to open the window to let the breeze in but being right next to the train station was quite noisy if we did. The bathroom was also quite stuffy and small.
Location was great for public transport needs and in the heart of the city. The staff were really lovely and the facilities met our needs.

CanadaUpon arrival there was no one to meet us and no instructions on how to get in to the building. Thank goodness a man from the first floor helped us. Comparing the breakfast to the other B&Bs we stayed at it was not the best. the only other complaint and we can’t blame the place on the issue of no water one morning, was just how inconvenient it was and so we had to go across the street to use the bathrooms. The next day the water was off again ,thank goodness we showered the night before. Hope the building gets their water issues fixed.
For sure the location from the train station.

GermanyGreat location! The view from the window is on the main train station of Rome -Termini. The entrance to the metro is there and it's just across the street. Bus from the airport (any) brings to the station and the departure is also every half hour. At the station there are a lot of cafes where you can eat tasty and varied. The hotel is cozy, just three rooms with a common kitchen and a refrigerator. There is air conditioning in the room. The staff is friendly!

United Kingdomthe accommodation is basic, but also cheap. if you want short break in Rome and are not worried about basic accommodation then it’s fine. Rome will more than make up for any shortcomings.
good base for seeing Rome, although that area looks very rough and run down the locals don’t bother you. if you don’t fancy going far to eat the food hall at Termini is very handy. The Metro A & B lines intersect at Termini which is very handy.

United KingdomJust to make you aware, the room is one of three bedrooms that are next to each other, so at times you can hear people in the room next to you, and you all share a kitchen so you could potentially bump into each other as well.
Great location, easy access for trains, buses and metro, lovely restaurants close by as well. Room was very basic but didn't bother us cos we were out all day.

ItalyThe state in which Rome is living the Roma Termini Station. So it's not a problem of the hotel but it the government of Rome that has to do something. In Roma Termini there are a lot of foreigners who drink beer on the streets, throw all kind of stuff on the ground and so on. Very messy and dirty. It's a very pity because the ones who will lose benefit because of it are the hotels that are nearby.
Very close to the Termini Station and with a lot of shops all around for you to buy all your needs, specially last minute emergencies. The apartment was very clean and the aircon worked perfectly. The bathroom is very essential, I don't know if everyone will like it because it's very small, no bidet, and if you don't pay attention while you're taking a shower you're going to pour the water all over the floor. But since we are filipinos there were no problem at all. We are used to it and it was very funny to use it with my boyfriend. A very nice stay!

United StatesThere was no water our last 14 hours of our staff or the previous night. That is totally unacceptable. A gallon of water dropped off at each room would have at least helped. It was awful having to leave to go home without a shower and to have to hang out at the train station for bathroom facilities. You asked in your survey about the staff. What staff? The only interaction was done by email or What'sApp. There was never any response to our water problem.
The location was ideal--close to the train station. The breakfast was adequate and the bathroom was okay.
