The use of the Aircon was an extra €10 fee and you couldn't sleep without it in the 38°c heat of summer. In addition, the fuse went in the middle of the night, waking us up as the room became unbearably hot. We were essentially told that it was because we had the Aircon on all night that the fuse went, but we weren't told to do otherwise. Unlike previous reviews and pictures, the breakfast was just a piece of shop bought bread and a toastie maker for cripsy toast and a coffee machine. Since finding out she is an ex judge on Italian MasterChef it made the lack of breakfast extremely lacklustre. The host was nice but the whole stay felt extremely impersonal, like we were treading on toes as opposed to being welcomed and taught the culinary and cultural fascinations of Genoa and Sri Lanka as it says in the host's description.

Nice location meant we saw some places we wouldn't have otherwise if we stayed nearer Genoa. lovely decor clearly derived from the host's Sri Lankan heritage.

The fan in our room was not the best and it was very warm during the night even with the window open!

Nothing it was splendid.

The bed and the bedroom was very large and comfortable. Loved the decor and the view from the terrace was stunning. The host was so affording and even made fresh roti for us each morning.

We were 3 - 2x adults and a teenager, so we booked a room, but finally it was discovered there is just 1x bed. How come property allows to book such apartment for 3x ppl? And location.... don't consider it, if you don't have a car or motorcycle. On the map is looks so close but it is on the same hill and you have to climb up.

Laxmi was really nice and cooperative. Property was clean.

The only minor inconvenience is that the doors are a bit bad at isolating noise in the house so you will hear when anyone wakes up and goes to the bathroom/kitchen area if you like waking up late rather than early. Other than that it was very good and we got some good sleep.

Laxmi is a very nice and very kind host, the room was very spacious and beautiful as well as the viewings it offers. It is a very comfortable room with a nice window in a very rustic setting, yet close to the city center. Additionally Laxmi is a very good cook who was constantly offering us homemade Indian food such as cake, rotis, parathas...In addition to the breakfast, which is included. She can also make an Indian dinner banquet for you if you ask in advance, Which is very authentic. WE EVEN SAW SHEEP FROM OUR WINDOW!!! It also has a terrace with an amazing view that Genoa offers and you can have some wine while watching the sunset.

The place is not easy to find, walking way to the hotel was difficult, despite the close location to the centre. I am not sure that the staff always can be found. No TV, I saw only one common bathroom which was occupied the long time.

It's a big flat arranged in a hotel. The hotel is good, clean and quiet. The room is big and decorated with national indian carpets. WiFi good. Fair price.

Location is really far away on the hill and it is very hard to find a free parking place. Breakfast was really poor. We had to pay extra 10 EUR due to check-in after 8 pm (it is written under booking info). Be careful of wild boars, we have seen them near apartment.

Laxmi Guesthouse B&B is located on a hill above the town, which guarantees fresh air and a spectacular view at night (check the picture below) as well as some sweaty climbs during the day, depending on the weather conditions - there is free parking nearby and a bus stop in good 5-Min.-walking-distance though. The apartment itself is clean, cozy and lovely decorated. The friendly landlord provided a few must-see recommendations in Genova, but also for the surrounding villages. In total, we would recommend a stay at Laxmi's if you're a mobile person looking for a practical and fair-priced place to stay in Genova.

It's a bit far away from the city centre. There was no AC, but you can open the window and feel the Mediterranean climate :).

The view from that place was wonderful, but it was a bit far away from city centre. So if you wamt use bus you need to remember to come back before 10:30 p.m. Nevertheless, there were busses and buss stop was not very far away. That place is really high so you can enjoy the panoramic view of Genua. Bathroom was shared but it was really clean, you also have kitchen access.

There was no proper air conditioning in the room (just an old fan in the ceilig which did not made any difference with the temperature), so it was super hot during the night, could barely sleep.

The owner lady was extremely friendly, the place was tidy, unique and colorful. The breakfast was pleasant, with coffee, juice, bisquits, jam.

You had to walk about 150-200 meters to get to the place (not 40 meters) The coffee machine was broken and we couldn't have coffee, but I think it was an unfortunate event and it broke the same morning.

The room and the complete apartment were exceptionally clean. The host was really nice and kind Just a reccomendation, upon arrival ask where the breakfast will be so if you wake up early you can know where to go and do not have to way for the host to wake up or get out the room.

For me travelling in a larger car the parking was complicated.

Simple but enough if you don't mind sharing a bathroom. The room was large. Don't forget there's a mountain railway that shortens the steep trip to town center almost half.

Breakfast was great, and filling! Very relaxed and friendly host. She stayed up late to let us in when we needed a late check-in.
