Very close to everything that we wanted to see in Ortygia. Right next to some excellent fresh food markets, and yet we could hear no noise from these in our room. Peppe was an excellent host and went beyond the call of duty by helping us find a parking space when we arrived, then helping us move our luggage to the room, and then back to our car on check out. Excellent service from a very friendly and helpful host.

Joseppi was a fantastic host. He was very flexible with the check-in and even sent us a video with directions to the accommodation. All his recommendations of where to eat were excellent.

A larger window wouldn't hurt but cannot really say I did not like one single thing.

The host is incredibly nice and helpful. He kept contact before we arrived, provided with video clips of how to arrive at the location. Gave us tips where to eat, kept us parking out of his own will. The room had all required needs.

This place is in a great location, literally above the Mercato. Peppe is an excellent host, even finding us a perfect parking spot and providing us with great recommendations for restaurants and tours. I would definitely recommend.

Location very close to the centre of Ortigia, cleanliness, spacious room with all we needed including well equipped kitchen and bathroom.We had also coffee machine with very tasty coffee.The parking area around is very convenient if you travel by car.In a walking distance there are a lot of good restaurants and bars.The ancient market just behind the corner offers fresh and tasty food.

Parking was a nightmare. Although there is parking outside it is almost impossible to get a spot even in the evening.

Excellent location. We could walk easily to everything. The apartment has a small kitchenette and is located next to the fresh food market so easy to get fresh food. Despite the busy location it was very quiet and peaceful in the apartment.

Everything was perfect, we had the best time. The host was the best host we had so far, he was very nice and helpful and even saved us a free parking spot just outside the door. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Ortigia! The apartment was spacious and the right size for us, it was perfectly equipped (in terms of kitchen and bathroom supplies).

Right at the Ortigia Market, which was fun to experience. If driving, free street parking if available, but the close by Talete pay garage if not. Also, close to the top of the island.

What's not to like? Nothing! Perfect value for money.

Super easy check-in and communication prior to check-in, the owner's assistant met us in front of the property where she had saved us a free parking space, easy and quick communication with her and the owner with plenty of recommendations for our stay! Easy and punctual check-out. Amazing central location, tasty paninis at the deli "Borderi" across the street.

Location there is no better place. It is very central with a food market at the door, all main restaurants and attractions are a few minutes walking from the apartment. Host is the best person ever so helpful, he saved parking spot just in front of the place and help us with places to eat and go. Room was all clean and a good size for a couple, WiFi was working well, and the street is very quiet during the night. It has all basic kitchen appliances as well.

I have never regretted this much my choice when booking travel accommodation. Firstly, this is not a 'one bedroom apartment' (it is advertised as such!), this is a STUDIO, and a small, claustrophobic one, with one of the walls (the right hand side one as you enter) weirdly winding. We don't suffer from claustrophobia(!), but I can tell you, we could hardly wait to get out of there after we wake up, it was THAT unpleasant. Truly, it looks like a detention. So small and with only one tiny, tiny, tiny window in a corner! See attached photos. We booked three nights as we wanted to explore so much around amazing Syracuse, but this was our big mistake. We travelled around Sicily, all our accommodations were amazing, for similar cost/s. This was a big disappointment. Bathroom is outdated, fixtures old, clunky, faucet came out (or the sink was filling up with water!) and was so very dirty I couldn't believe, and also around the sink tap (photo attached)- I was not amused, coming from a previous fabulous apartment in Noto - everything opposite of this place. The shower here is also outdated, so small that a bit overweight person would struggle, I am certain. The shower trickles water. I would have appreciated more honest reviews from travellers here, instead of them obviously carelessly writing nonsense. Maybe it's about the host's earnings, but also, it is about travellers like us, and our accommodation choices - to enhance, or to ruin your travel experiences - how many times in life you'd travel and see Syracuse?!

Location is great. Outside the door of this building is the fresh market every day, very convenient to buy fresh produce, sandwiches or a coffee, and interesting. Host is very easy communicative, friendly and helpful, tried to find us parking but at the end we found a better spot than his. He greeted us to give us the keys and to show us the apartment. Two metal grid doors to be opened with keys- one is to enter the apartment building, the other one in the middle of the two flights of stairs, and then when you reach the first floor, you go through winding corridor to reach this property. Aircon was good. Wifi was good. The host also sent us via Whatsapp links to restaurants, cafes and boat tours. Unfortunately, the host being a good guy could not compensate for all that is wrong with this property (see below).
