The two upstairs rooms felt a little lacking in privacy as far as proximity to lobby, but nice views.

Had a wonderful stay here - was easily walkable to Marina di Praia beach, which is where we spent most of our time. Staff was super helpful booking taxis as needed, and breakfast was great.

That we didn’t stay longer…

From the moment you walk into La Maurella you feel right at home. Michele was a fantastic host as were all the staff. The room was comfortable with the most breathtaking view from the balcony. Being only a small hotel, it was quiet and relaxing, we felt like we were the only ones there. There was no rush at breakfast (which was wonderful) and we had the pool to ourselves on the 2 occasions we used it. Michele and his staff helped us with the local bus and advised on places to eat. We had stayed in Praiano before at a bigger hotel, but felt this was a much nicer experience. You are 15min walk from the beach, or can grab the bus for €1… lots of places to eat round about. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thank you La Maurella.

Beautiful property with amazing views and a stunning pool looking over the mediterranean sea. Wonderful staff who were incredibly helpful, cheerful and friendly. Lovely breakfast seated out on the deck every morning looking over the coastline. Excellent location for access to restaurants, shops and public transport while also being whisper quiet and peaceful.

Perfectly located in a less touristy and more relaxed town but close enough to excellent bars and restaurants - il Pirata was our favourite! Diana and Michele were so friendly and welcoming. Michele is extremely helpful and gave us plenty of tips on places to see and how to get around. When we go back to the Amalfi coast, we will be staying at La Maurella.

The room was lovely but on the smaller side . However the exceptional staff and location more than made up for that.

The views were great. The staff were always vert friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful with all our questions about where to go walking and where to eat.

Fabulous location, the best view of the amalfi coast. Room had private balcony with amazing views. Beautiful terraced garden with a small pool, (heated with jacuzzi feature, towels provided), all with the view and the scent of the jasmine ! Breakfast on the terrace was inclusive and was a delicious spread included freshly made cake and hot scrambled eggs and bacon, and a lot more, served on a terrace with the view of course! And cakes left for you to enjoy a snack later! Bedroom very pretty and bed very comfortable. Small bathroom, with bidet, spotlessly cleaned daily. Shower drains slowly but is no problem. Parking always available and included, a must in this area. Hosts/staff all lovely, helpful, friendly, excellent English! (Sadly, we can only ask for a coffee in Italian!) Loads of tips and information for when you're exploring, and made us feel so welcome and looked after for 5 days.Thank you so much for our wonderful stay for our 25th wedding anniversary 💕

Location! Difficult to get to! 70 euro taxi ride from Positano and then VERY crowded unpleasant bus ride to Amalfi standing up heaving with luggage. 😩 View from balcony obstructed by shrubbery.

The shower drainage did not take waste away and the shower cell filled up limiting time in the shower. Eventually it would drain. The bed was VERY SQUEAKY and being so close to reception was a little uncomfortable.

The Property was exceptional, well positioned, brilliant pool and out door facilities and an amazing view. The staff were brilliant. Michael & Daniella were just so welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable on what to do and surrounding areas. The room was beautiful and perfect for our needs.
