Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDespite our plane arriving late, causing us not to arrive at the property till after 1am, we were still greeted warmly by Andrea who showed us to our rooms and offered us some lovely white wine for us to enjoy on the stunning balcony that comes with the room. We had a lovely breakfast outside each morning with a beautiful view of the water. The property itself was gorgeous, situated perfectly to enjoy the sunsets each evening. It felt like we could have not left the house and still experienced Italy. The hosts were so accommodating and kind— absolutely recommend staying here!

AustriaIf you plan on coming by car, keep in mind that the driveway is very steep and narrow (as probably everywhere in Vico). It definitely takes some practice to get up there smoothly.
We were a group of four at La Fusarella Villa and we can definitely recommend it for anyone who is looking for a cozy room with an amazing view. The hosts were really kind and helpful regarding any questions we had and offered us drinks/snacks whenever we spent the evening on their terrasse. Since it's very high up, you get an amazing view over Vico Equense from your rooms as well as the terrasse, where breakfast takes place every morning. Breakfast was very rich - we especially liked the fresh fruit and vegetables. Vico Equense was the perfect base destination for our daily trips to other cities such as Sorrento, Pompeii, Naples or Positano. Vico itself is also a very nice city, it takes approx. 15 minutes by foot to get to the inner city from La Fusarella.

United KingdomGenuinely faultless for us.
Everything!! We had the most incredible stay, the hosts, the amazing views, the comfortable room, the breakfast, the location, the town. We had the terrace room and the photos don’t even do it justice. For us we liked how quiet it was, set a short and scenic walk from town from where you can easily find lovely restaurants and trips which our host helped arrange. We couldn’t recommend this place enough.

CanadaIt is hard to find, the hosts will meet you, they’re very kind. Did not bother us, but there isn’t a TV.
Views were spectacular. We had room 5 and the little balcony allowed us gorgeous views of the bay and Mount Vesuvios. It was a 10-15 min. Walk into town with great restaurants. Breakfast is served on their terrace, it’s so quiet and peaceful. Elisbetta and Andreas are warm and kind hosts

United KingdomThere wasn't anything we didn't like.
The place is idyllic, and Elizabeta and Andrea are the most perfect hosts. Nothing was a problem. We arrived by car and found it hard to find the villa. Andrea came to meet us and showed us the way on his moped. Both siblings were interested in us and offered recommendations and suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. If you want to try authentic Italian hospitality, this is the place. The views are stunning! Breakfast was amazing with an exceptional spread of both savoury and sweet foods. A shuttle service is offered to and from Vico Equense, which can be seen from the villa. When stepping into our room and then stepping out onto the balcony, I was overcome with emotion at the stunning views. It was the perfect way to spend a few quiet days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Grazie mile Elizabeta and Andrea for making us feel so welcome in your home. We had the most perfect stay.

Very friendly staff (and cats), great breakfast! Beautiful sea views from the room and the patio. We liked that the hotel is a bit out of the buzz of the village, it's peaceful and it's just a nice, short walk to the village centre.

AustraliaThis place is a Gem. Perfect location in Vico Equense overlooking the Bay of Naples, Naples and Vesuvius. The hosts , Elisabetta and Andrea, are charming and super helpful running us in and out of Vico Equense any time on request. Breakfast has to be seen to be believed, so much home produced food you could skip lunch and save your appetite for dinner at the excellent restaurants in Vico.

CanadaThat we had to leave after 4 nights could have stayed many more
From the moment Elizabeth welcomed us with relaxing drinks overlooking the beautiful bay of Napoli, we knew that all the great reviews were spot on and felt like family for our 4 night stay. Her brother Andre was every bit a gentleman and made sure our stay was memorable. Between these two siblings they operate a very clean, comfortable location to stay when you're in the Napoli, Sorento location. 10 minute walk to the train station and Vico Equense, where you'll find many restaurants to please anyone. We were in Italy for 16 days to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and this accomodation was far our best stay. Thank you again for you're wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend this location.

The villa was more than I expected. The hosts were wonderful. The views from the property are amazing. It's a short walk to town and the metro stop. VIco Equense is a lovely city with a laid back atmosphere. A 20 minute Metro ride to Sorrento and the ferry to Capri was an added bonus. We lucked out with this place and will defiantly return. Did I mention the fabulous breakfast each morning, the beautiful gardens and chickens who provide the eggs?
