Wifi was very inconsistent and the bed wasn't super comfortable

Great location within walking distance of everything there is to see in Lecce while being further out enough that you're not disturbed by the local noise. Room is clean and spacious and the breakfast is fantastic.

The room itself lacked any of the character the entrance and common rooms had. The bed was on a very low platform. If I had known I would not have taken that room. As a senior traveller I would prefer to have a regular height of bed to enjoy after walking and enjoying Lecce all day. I think others would like to know about the bed when booking.

The location was perfect. Easy to find and the contact person answered by WhatsApp when I needed help. The building had character.

Breakfast could be better, and more reliable.

Location is great and so is the size of the room. Lovely place. Breakfast is really uncertain - hardly enough for a cat on some days , overfloiwing the next. No coffee, except what you can make on the stove in the kitchen if you know how to use the espresso machines and have coffee handy.

The keys. The keys were a nightmare. My room key had the end broken off and apparent Ly there was no other. 🤔You needed pliers to turn the very tiny key without a handle. Then you had to work out how to manipulate the lock. It was either a ten minute process or if you were lucky a minute. The front door key also was tricky. It brought me almost to tears on night. Breakfast was a joke. It was usually the remains of the day before because who ever had the rooms that opened out onto the breakfast room used it as their party room, wine bottles, dirty plates, shoes……..

I had a balcony, the water worked, toilet flushed, sheets were clean, and once I found the coffee there was coffee. Position was good.

Very fiddly to get in with lots of instructions that you have to follow (as this was advertised as a hotel I expected a concierge). Unfortunately my room was next to something that buzzed all night which was frustrating. Also did not expect to have to pay for coffee.

Lovely interiors, architecture and great location. My room was a great size and the bed was comfy. It was very clean also.

Air con was only fan mode (not working properly), balcony of the room dirty so I didn't use and left its door closed. Considering the price paid is ok for couple of nights.

Location in Old town but quiet street, close to train station , clean sheets and towels, good WiFi, good coffee.

The process of entering the residence could be more streamlined from the point of booking. Ie less palaver with codes and such.

The entrance procedure was quite complicated - the safe with the key to the room took several tries. I never saw a single person in the two days I was there. The balcony was not inviting - no chair or table so you could sit out there. They had a room for breakfast but everything was set out before so not fresh and no indication of how to get coffee - I just skipped breakfast.

Bathtub is outdated, didn't work properly (defect). The mattress needs replacement, it's very saggy.

Online check in seems a bit convoluted and didn’t work. But I got a door code from the owner so no big deal. I was a bit concerned about the security as the inner door to the shared space was never locked (although the owners assured me this is not a problem).

The power got cut of a multiple times. So it was quite hot in our room. Also the neighbors yelled during the night. I asked a few questions over the whatsapp but i did not get any answer. The breakfast was minimal.

If there is a coffee pot, it could be a nice addition to have coffee powder as well :) Also the host are nice but clearly use google translate for communication so you need to be explicit in your questions. The bed was making a bit of a sound but didn’t bother me.

The room I booked was eventually not available and I got another one which I’m eating here. The room was clean and had everything present. I liked having a balcony overlooking a small garden. It’s easily accessible.

The mattress was pretty uncomfortable, probably due to be changed as the shape was off. And It was very noisy at nighttime making it difficult to sleep, with crowds of people heard clearly from the street as well as noise from other guests returning to their rooms in early hours of the morning.

The room was very clean and spacious for a solo traveller. The Location was close and easy walking to old town and surrounds. Staff were helpful.

I did put 7 because we had an horrible experience not regarding the stuff. Our personal things were stolen while we were not in the room. I am writing this mainly because I would like to highlight an incredible help of one of the host (Pierro Luigi) which stood with me the whole morning, went with me to the police station, and still trying to figure out what happened. Amazing staff.

Breakfast wasn't much, to be honest. No, it wasn't. Again, just didn't see any staff at any time ( apart from housekeeping ). I guess communication through WhatsApp, or others, is the way ahead.......

Good communication with staff re gaining entry to the property but, apart from the housekeeping staff, didn't see anyone else at any other time, even though there was a kind of reception desk. A lovely, characterful courtyard area once inside the main entrance. Nice room, spacious, comfy bed, good shower ....... The B&B is a two minute walk from a lovely piazza with bars, cafes, ..... and within five minutes of tourist sites. Around a 15 walk to Lecce train station. Fair VFM.

Absence of staff on the premises. While trying to unsuccessfully enter the property after the online self check in, regardless the one million messages received we didn't manage to open the last entrance door.. We tried to contact the property for at least 1 hour and a half but the phone was off. Luckly enough, while waiting inside the building entrance, the owner walked in, though visibly pissed off by our inability to enter the last door, he eventually let us enter with him. No basic introduction to the place whatsoever, he simply accompanied us to our room without saying a single word about how things worked at the property. After finally getting to our room, for at least one hour we had to bear with him loudly speaking (rather shouting) over the phone with his employees, hearing every single word of his very rude conversation and attitude towards the poor staff. If this is not enough, once over with the phone calls, his cute dog started barking non stop. Breakfast almost non existing, in fact 'prepared' the day before in the early afternoon. Even if the room was very nice, the balcony was extremely dirty and impossible to use. Gigantic ants invasion in the room the morning after, the lack of staff in the premises didn't even allow us to point that out... Also, the so described availability of parking near by the premises and outside the city walls is very misleading: it took us literally almost an hour to find a (paid by the hour) parking spot walking distance to the place.

The location is perfect, right inside the old city walls. The building is stunning and we loved the interior design, nevertheless see below for some issues...
