Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaHotel would need refurbishment. Lift IS small, issue get inside with big luggage. Average breakfast, not the best, but still enough to choose.
Very nice accommodation. Little older, but clean. Room was good, you could find kettle to boil a tea/water. Room contains small bar fridge where you could place drinks to cool. Hotel have very good location, opposite street is underground parking (SABA / 22€ per 24h). 15 minutes walk Spanish stairs, 5 minutes walk Hard rock coffee (perfect place take rest with good food and drinks after tourist day). From hotel you could cover by walk all main Rome attractions. Hotel-Airport is 40 minutes by car.

The location was excellent and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was served on the top floor with beautiful panoramic views. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

United StatesThis is not a 4 star hotel. The staff are very pleasant, but they offer nothing other than the bare minimum. For example, I arrived at 1:00am. I was starving so I asked if I could get a piece of fruit or some bread. The night desk clerk said, "No, you can drink a Fanta from the minibar in your room." A 4 star hotel would get me something to eat; they would probably charge me for it, but I would not mind that at all. When I asked questions about area restaurants, they did not ask any follow up questions to make sure they understood what I was asking so the could provide the most helpful answer. They kept to one sentence answers. Also, I don't think the bar was ever open. I couldn't find published hours. This could have been my error
The location was great. It is about 2 blocks from the hop on/hop off busses and walking distance to good restaurants and historical points in Rome. It's about a $12 USD taxi drive to the Rome Termini train station. The room was clean and a great size, especially for 1 person. If one wanted to spend a lot of time in your room; this may not be the place for you, the only seating is the bed and a desk chair. The breakfast room view is amazing. The hotel provides a continental breakfast, which is not a hot breakfast, and not an American hotel breakfast. There are pastries, bread, cheese, salami, chicken and ham deli slices, cereal, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, juice, and coffee. Coffee is Americano or cappuccino, etc. There is also tea. The wifi is free and reliable.

AustraliaClearly needs updating but I guess that adds to the charm, its very 70-80’s vibe, the bins in the foyer and the 6th floor next to elevator even still have the smoking options kind of bins, like i used to see when i was a kid. Elevator is really small and the rooms a bit small too. The keys are still the ones I used to see in the movies growing up and when you leave the room, you have to leave the keys in the foyer all the time. For the price, its fair enough and plus the nice view in the breakfast area. Overall it was a great stay.

AlbaniaThe hotel was a bit old and because of that the room had a smell of "old". Also the electricity installation was old, but the smell was the worst part. The bed was hard, not the best mattress. In overall the hotel needs a deep renewal.
The staff was great, very kind and friendly. Also the breakfas was amazing! With the best view that you can find in Rome.

PolandWe had our wedding photo session and a Visit in Vatican to bless our marriage... I've booked a hair and makeup stylist to make me ready for the photo session and the staff didn't want to let her in to our room ... First they wanted from me to book an extra room... (we hat an appointment for 6:30 in the morning because we wanted to miss the crowds at Trevi to make good photos....) I needed to go to the reception ... 6:30 and they threaten me that late I will pay even more... My Artist gave them the docs and we went to make me ready. Anyway the photographer that came extra with a plane from Poland waited for us. After we made the first part , we came to change and still at the reception they argued with me, that I need to pay extra for the 2 hours that my makeup artist prepared me for the session and then gone home! I wanted to speak to the hotel manager again but without result. Arguments like if I were sick or order a pizza and somebody came into my room for 10 minutes- do I need also to take another room or pay extra? It wasn't a guest! It was a person who I employed for 2 hours. I understand the law in Italy and the hotel got the ID's from all of us. But it's insane to make such a complication - is somebody has a weeding and the camera man came to the hotel to make video to you still need to pay for his 1 hour stay that he can make his job? They didn't want me to talk to the hotel manger, and didn't understand that a MakeUp Artist is a normal thing in 2023... I've been on weddings in Como, etc and it's ok that the "staff" is coming to make you ready, make you photos. My MakeUp Artist was so scared, she is making makeups and hair in Positano Amalfi etc and she lives in Rome, and it was a shock to her! First time she had a situation like this , that she can't come into the room to make makeup and hair... the reception saw us that we are living at 8:30 to the photosession!
breakfast was ok (we eat only twice, because we need to leave early for holy mess and photo session) location was very good and quiet
