Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicFor someone can be bit problematical parking, which is nearby - you can leave your luggages at hotel, than park and go back to the hotel. Parking place is not too far away, but it can be uncomfortable for someone. Hotel stuff was very kind and helpful.
Perfect place for walking to Prato historical centre, we stayed only over one night, nice stand ard hotel.

United StatesEverything was good. I have no comments on dislike.
Breakfast was good every morning. Appreciated a breakfast to go when we had to leave before breakfast time. The location was good to walk to the train and shopping areas. The room was an efficiency size that was very small, but manageable since we were out of the room all the time.

NetherlandsI wouldn't say anything which I don't like in this hotel. I feel the bathing room space could have been little bit more. Rest everything was fantastic. It was a very pleasant stay though it was short.
Firstly the location was very close to train station Porta Serraglio hardly 200 meters. Staff were very friendly and caring. I checked in very late around midnight and still the staff acknowledged & prompt in checking me in. Also I requested early morning check-out and again the staff was very accommodative. When I checked out, I realized there was a train strike and getting a taxi was very difficult to get. Since I was from India, I found it difficult to install local taxi app. Hotel staff was very courteous and offered me a drop at Prato Central station at his personal car. I managed to get a radio taxi and reached SMN station on time to catch my Rome train. I would have missed my Rome trip because of train strike without the staff support. I am very thankful for the kind gesture of the hotel staff. Heartfelt gratitude.

AustraliaThere was a little traffic noise but it died down at night. I used silicone ear plugs and the traffic didn't disturb my sleep.
Very close to Prato PS station and the major sights such as the Cathedral and Palazzo Pretorio, restaurantsand shopping street.. The hotel is well furnished, has a bar and lounge area, and staffed reception desk till late. The bed and sleeping temperature was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was adequate. There was nothing lacking.

Excellent location very close to train station & to dining & bars & concert in the Piazza. The staff and manager at hotel were very hospitable & helpful. The hotel was very clean & air-conditioning worked wonderfully. Breakfast was simple but ok for us. Room size & amenities in room were comfortable & very adequate & could not hear any noises outside. We recommend this hotel as it is in an excellent location.

I guess the hotel is run by a family, everyone was really nice with us. They opened the door at any time (you have to leave the key each time you go out). Breakfast didn't have the same variety as a big hotel, but it was delicious and varied as well. Perfect location, 3 minutes walking to the Porta Serraglio station.

NorwayThe furniture and doors are a bit oldish. Would also prefer not to step on a textile carpet, a wooden laminate would feel more cozy.
Good room size, ok bed, great shower. Air conditioning worked fine. Very kind and helpful staff, one of them even indicated me a good running path. Location is probably the best in Prato.

AustriaIf you are looking for style or design features, this is not the place. Breakfast is a bit on the basic side.
The hotel is right next to the cathedral, walkind distance from sights, shopping area, bars, and restaurants. There is a convenience store just across the street. I arrived in scorching heat, but hotel and room were nicely airconditioned which was a big plus. Staff was superfriendly. Breakfast is good, especially if you order capuccino.

The room is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, few min on foot to the train station and few min to the center of Prato. Anything u need can be found around the hotel.

NetherlandsThe beds are too hard for our taste.
Gianni and his lovely mother were very friendly, helpful and caring. They really made us feel like part of the family! We are back home and we miss them! Cleaning staff were also lovely and they made sure to refresh all towels and shower gels on a daily basis, which was a big plus for us since we stayed for 6 nights. Well organised and smoothly run hotel. The breakfast was enjoyable with nice coffee and delicious pastries. The location is very central in this historic town. The train station is a 5 min walk straight up the road. Florence and Lucca are easy to get to from here. Thanks again for the lovely stay Gianni!

I LOVED everything about my stay at Giardino. Hotel is being around for years but is being renovated and thus is really comfortable. There is a spacious lift. The room I had was really spacious too and comfortable, have air conditioners and internet for free that work perfectly. Bed was comfy enough. Very clean. One of the best things is that the train station Porta al Serraglio is just a 4-5mins walk so getting to Florence was really easy. Staff was really friendly, always ready to help and even fix a breakfast in those days I had to leave before the breakfast time was open. Very good value for the money! Super recommended and if I was going to Florence again I would definitely stay there again.

SwitzerlandWe booked this hotel for a quick weekend in Florence. The hotel is located close to the Prato train station (a 30 minute train ride to the center of Florence) and the city center of Prato. There are lots of restaurants and quaint bars nearby. Prato itself also isn't as touristy as Florence (our taxi driver said it's like Florence 30 years ago). Our room was lare and really clean, though a bit dated. But we slept well and enjoyed our stay.
