Very old style hotel, which can be both pro and con based on your taste. There was no soundproofing. The person next-door was snoring during the whole night and I could hear him as if he were in my room. Btw there are a few stairs to get to some of the rooms and no help from the staff for the luggages. Overall, it was way too expensive for what it offered.

The hotel is next to the train station which is great and it's pretty clean.

The room rate on the price list at the hotel is really more expensive than the price on Booking. We believe it was overpriced. The hotel was closing for their summer break from the day after our arrival and they were not able to keep our luggage after checkout and we would have preferred to be notified about it in advance. The area around the station can be dodgy at night. In one day we met 5 different staff members at the reception.

The room we got assigned was recently renovated.

A/c in room

Genuinely helpful staff; the a/c in our first room was feeble and the temp in the room hovered around 28 degrees. The duty staff helped check other available rooms. Some had a/c issues too, but eventually we found one that worked. We had to move room.

The furniture is a bit old and worn out, at least in the Single room I stayed. Water pressure in the shower was very low but still tolerable.

Quite basic hotel for reasonable money. I spend a week in this hotel in Jan-2024 most of the time outside of the hotel and used it just to take a shower, change dress and sleep. Reception recommended me a very nice restaurant in Pavia. Location is perfect - just 50 steps from the Pavia train station.

One was already mentioned: the room was smaller than expected. This had two implications. One, there was no night stand, so keeping next to me a book for my night reading and the mobile phone for the alarm clock was not possible (well, in fact I managed a way); and second, the wardrobe was tiny, so the space available for tidying up my clothes was really tight. Also, the minifridge did not seem to be working, although the staff mentioned that it should be, claiming that it would not be as cool as a normal fridge. Honestly, it did not look that way.

All the staff was terrific! Very friendly and helpful, always available for any request. They made my staying very pleasant. Although the room was not big, it was cozy, and very clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the Wi-Fi signal was great for most of the tasks I had in hands during my staying. Definitely, a hotel to check back in my nest trip to Pavia.

Shampoo was not provided. Maybe it was a mistake? I forgot to ask. The location is not great, it's right next to the train station where there might be sketchy people at night. I wasn't allowed to access the car park; instead, the staff asked me to hand over the car keys and park my car in their garage. No problem in my case, but it might take some freedom / flexibility away from you as you need to contact the staff every time you need your car.

For a 3-star, the room really looked like a 4-star!

Could do with some modernisation. The rooms were a little noisy.

Great location for the railway station and only a short walk into town. Staff were helpful, especially securing our bicycles securely in the underground carpark, access to which was at the side of the hotel.
