It's far from Rome city centre. You have to walk and take the train or bus to the attractions. There's no ramp for big luggages going up and down the stairs

The place is nice and quiet

No minibar. The toilet is with the bath cabin, but the mirror and sink are outside the room, with is odd. The breakfast is very poor. No vegetables, no eggs. It is being served piece by piece. You have to ask for a piece of bread (or two), and cheese. There are also some cake or cruasson and yoghurt. And coffee or juice. And if you are lucky, you can get an apple. But you need to ask for it. The building is very old but it has an elevator. It goes slow, but shakes when it starts and ends, which is kind of scary.

Location is Ok, it is not in the center, but relatively close to metro (700m). Nice walking park on the way to the metro. A booth with a free cold and sparkling water near the hotel. We asked to check out late and they agreed to let us use the room until 18:00 for extra charge. This was very helpful. The room was huge, but the furniture very old. There were scratches on the walls. Air conditioner was very good, facilities Ok. A nice terrace on the roof for breakfast (we also went there in the evening to sit down and relax). A safe in the room.

Our quadruple room was by the yard ,men drilling woke us up at 9 am the second day ,the people across the room were pretty loud after 11 pm which surprised us considering it used to be an ancient monastery .There were ants crawling in the room that managed there way through the screened in window and even got in my purse. There were homeless people hanging out not to far from our room which was just to the right of the entrance .During the day I was on the bed watching TV and some one attempted to open the door .The place gave me the creeps.

I liked the basilica right next to our room,I didn't even have to leave the premises to go to a beautiful place of worship. The roof top terrace had an awesome view while eating breakfast. Watch out if you leave the table with food on your plate ,I ran to get more napkins and a pigeon got my croissant.I went to get a new one and he acted like it was GOLD and reluctantly gave me a replacement.

It was lovely to have a drink on our balcony and on the rooftop terrace. It would have been nice to have a glass in the room and not just paper cups. We managed to get some plastic cups but were unable to buy any glasses.

Location, staff were great. Nice to have breakfast included. We asked if we could change rooms as we were there for 4 nights and we heard that some rooms had a balcony. A room was found for us and for a small supplement we were able to move rooms.

Air conditioning was good but the room was huge so didn't reach where the bed was. The toilet seat was broken. It would have been amazing if there was a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Most people I presume choose this hotel for the location; with a fridge to put cold drinks in and a kettle would go a long way.

Location is superb for all of the top city attractions. There is a mini supermarket only 5 mins away. Beautiful building and breakfast included was more than adequate. Cereal, yoghurt, tea coffee cold juice or water, breads meat cheese, cakes deffo something for everyone.

The location is very busy with traffic around it. The room is very small. The breakfast is meagre but OK.

You get what you're paying for. The rooms have good AC for Rome. The place is quiet at night. The place is very clean. The rooftop is nice.

We saw bugs inside the bathroom, mould inside shower. Mattress was old and inconfortable. And every night people use to change the places of the chairs situated on the rooftop of the buliding, which annoyed us. Breakfast was the same everyday, they served us, no eggs, only fast food menu.

I liked the fact that the accomodation was close to metro station. AC was working well.

Self service at breakfast would have been better. Understand the reasons for staff handing out breakfast to avoid overeating but it is a bit demeaning. Food choice at breakfast was limited and could have been better

Great location accessible by bus/metro/tram to all the places we needed. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Great feeling of history at the hotel.

It could have been closer to the metro and could’ve added more soap and shampoo, but mostly good.

We liked how it was located around historical sites and how our rooms were always nicely neat. The room service was also very good, though we didn’t always get the same amount of shampoo per day.

We stayed here 15 years ago and the hotel is not as good as we remembered. The bathroom was very dated and hot water took a very long time to come through in the shower which is a huge waste of water. The breakfast is much more basic than it used to be and it's a pain to have to keep queuing to ask for another pastry or another cup of tea/coffee. It's nice to be able to eat it on the terrace though. The rooms are very simple but that is reflected in the price - you get what you pay for and it's central Rome after all!

Quiet location away from the centre but still near to metro. Nice roof terrace. Most of the staff we met were friendly with one exception.

The breakfast was very basic, while continental is fine there was very little choice and it wasn't self service. There was also a smell from the drainage in our bathroom which wasn't to pleasant.

The building itself is impressive, very much in keeping with how it was as a monastery. It was quiet inside, it was clean and our room was a good size. It was only about a 15 minute walk from the colesseum. Our room was very basic but it served our purposes as we were only there for one night. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Improvements should be made in the hotel. Breakfast is a bit disturbing when someone else serves you, as if you are ashamed to ask. 6 years ago it was much better to serve yourself. ...The room I had quite a lot of noise considering that the air conditioner is right above the room

Quite close to the Colosseum, grocery stores, metro station

Our room and furnishings were a little worn around the edges, but still clean.

The staff was super helpful and available 24 hours a day. The facility looks like it is abformer monastery and is physically attached to a beautiful church. The rooms are along long, broad corridors with high ceilings. It’s a very unique setting. Breakfast is served on a rooftop terrace over looking the city and the top of the church. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the Colosseum, but is a short walk to the nearest Metro station.

More provision of places to put things in the bathroom! Lack of dining/drinking facilities other than breakfast despite a fabulous roof top terrace.

Large room and very quiet. Could have done with an extra chair. The building itself was spectacular. Staff all very polite and helpful. Off the beaten tourist track but easy walk into central (Ancient) Rome and a short, cheap tram-ride back from Colosseum to the front door.

Room was much smaller than expected. Felt like I was in a maze trying to reach our room. Bathroom could use more shelf space for toiletries. Perhaps obtaining wash clothes for Americans.
