We were only there for one night, because we were in transit from Italy to Corsica. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful in providing information and a map so we could enjoy our afternoon in Genoa. They were also very helpful in booking taxis for us to get to the ferry port early the next morning.

The AC unit in our room didn’t work (not the end of the world, but if you’re expecting it and it doesn’t work that is frustrating). We couldn’t get the actual overhead shower to turn on, only the handheld part. We tried everything—maybe we were missing something obvious… The door to the shower is frosted glass, so pretty see-through. You can definitely see and hear people doing their business on the other side. The walls are very thin. If you’re a light sleeper you might have a hard time.

Domus Victoria is very nice! The room opens up to the rooftop which is super cool.

Maybe because of the location of the room but my wifi was poor.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Some didn't speak English but they kindly helped us out for calling taxi etc... Overall the view was great from the balcony. Comfy beds too. Really became my "home" during the stay.

A small thing - the ramps up and down.

Very friendly welcome, even before I arrived. The room was perfectly clean, quiet and warm with a modern bathroom, and TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A split for a/c on the wall was useful to add warmth (or to cool the room in summer) but I didn't need to use it. Being on the 5th floor, the room was nice and quiet; I slept like a log. The position of Domus Victoria was ideal for the meeting I attended the following day but it ideally situated for the centre of town and only 5 mins from Brignole train station, taxis, and buses. It is about a 25-min walk through the charming town to the Acquarium and harbour.

Nothing. A pity we were only staying one night :-)

The room was compact but had everything we needed. The bed was excellent, there was free tea & cofee, the heating/airco worked fine and there was no noise from outside. The bathroom was small but fine. A good shower. Outside the room was a large roof terrace with seating & views over the adjoining square and streets. The breakfast was sufficient and varied. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. The location was surprising. Five minutes walk from the Brignole station. An email from the hotel with photos of the entrance and access was perfect.

It was a nightmare to find! The taxi dropped us off and it was late. We were given no instructions on how to find this place. Prior information of how to access the building would have made a huge difference. It was very stressful.

While the room was comfortable, clean and well equipped, it was quite small.

The location is the major selling point, it could not be better; right across the street from a main train station with connections to all the seaside towns and major cities in Italy. Right beside all the major shopping, old town, restaurants and terraces. Loved the balcony too, incredible views over the piazza! Superb staff, could not be more helpful or friendly.

We could not open the door, to get out at the departure because the key got stuck . As it was 6am, there was nobody to help, the reception was closed. After 15 minutes, we managed to unlock the door. An emergency number would be a good thing.

The wonderful location, pleasant staff, nice interiors and one of the rare places offering a balcony in Genova.

Perfectly placed on the main street. Great view in the balcony. Comfortable bed. Front desk staffs are nice. Soundproof - there was a festival downstair but we barely heard the sound.

Excellent room with direct access to a beautiful large shared terrace with a great view. A good coffee-machine, well equipped bathroom, and good beds. It is also a quiet location, with good access to restaurants nearby.
