Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyAs we knew in advance, the evening and night noise from the square below is something you need to live with. It is a really lively area of the city, so that is a small price to pay. Or on booking, try to get a room on the other side of the hotel. Also to note, there is no elevator. Our room was on the second floor and it was quite a number of steps up there. However, Paolo was very kind helping us with our luggage, so again that was no problem. Last thing to mention, maybe, is the included breakfast - there is no breakfast room, you can make coffee and tea in your room and have a minibar with yoghourt and some pastries that get refreshed each day, to eat in your room. Once more that was no big thing to us, there are numerous breakfast establishments nearby to choose from.
We loved the location, directly on one of the famous squares of the city, next to the famous clock tower. The room was excellent, very authentically furnished. The bed was comfortable, I could sleep really well, once I fell asleep. Paolo, the good soul of the house, communicated very well with us, both online and in place. We got some good information about the city from him, and he took care of parking and bringing back our car. Thank you for everything!

Paolo was very helpful in meeting our requests, especially letting us stay longer in our room on our final day.

United KingdomYou need to keep the shutters and windows closed because of the market being set up overnight. A little bit noisy.
Everything possible was provided. The room was exceptionally clean. The location was superb.

SloveniaQuite noisy if staying in the rooms facing Piazza dei Signori as there are coffee shops/bars right bellow and open until 2AM. And at 6AM they start to clean roads and prepare setting for the morning market on the piazza – every day of our stay! For breakfast would prefer voucher for breakfast in a nearby bar, rather than having coffee machine, long-life prepackaged cakes, pastries plus packaged yoghurt and juices in the room. The parking garage (5min walk from hotel) charged 25EUR even on the hotel page is writen that it would be 20EUR.
Great location in the middle of the old town, clean and spaceous room! Paolo was very helpful and responsive.

AustraliaNo lift was a negative, even though the athletic receptionist insisted on carrying up our suitcases. The "included breakfast" was a selection of long-life prepackaged cakes and pastries plus packaged yoghurt and juices left for us in the room. OK but don't expect a dining room.
Very comfortable and well appointed room. Having a fridge was a bonus. Good tea and coffee making provisions. Overlooked an historic square which was lively at night. Plenty of bars and eateries around. Near to an old market and a 10 minute walk to the Scrovegni Chapel and the two main museums. Quite handy to the tram and bus routes from the station, which accept on board credit-card tap and go. Staff very helpful and friendly. Bed very comfortable.

SwitzerlandThe location does not have an elevator so one has to climb the narrow stairs which can be difficult with heavy luggage. In fairness, this is a very old, narrow building, so it simply would not have been possible to add an elevator.
Outstanding location right on the Piazza dei Signori. The entire hotel is nicely decorated with an interesting series of paintings decorating the walls.

United KingdomThe only issue with the building is that there is no lift. But it's a historic old building and they advertise it as such on the website. It would be tough for anyone who physically struggled to carry cases to the top floors, but the owner and his wife both helped carry out bags, even though we could manage ourselves.
Being right at the heart of the old town with many historic buildings around. The markets in the pizza changed into bars at night. You could walk to anywhere in Padova from here.

We felt lucky to score a hotel with a view of the Astronomical clock and Piazza Signore. Good windows and shutters kept out almost all of the noise of this popular place at night and we had no trouble sleeping- if you are a light sleeper you may want earplugs just in case. The room was lovely. Nice bathroom/ shower (the water can be too hot so be careful). Owners are very nice and helpful. It is a historic townhouse not a hotel so it did not include a full breakfast - but they did a nice job of providing coffee, milk, yogurt, juice (along with packaged pastries) for a great simple breakfast that we enjoyed with a view.

United KingdomNo lift, which is not ideal if you are on the 4th floor (as we were). Room and bathroom quite cramped. Shower almost over the toilet and bidet not really usable due to lack of space. "Breakfast" as advertised doesn't really exist. You get left a basket of longlife croissant and biscuits plus yoghurt and juice in the fridge. Also a small carton of UHT milk. Mattress was rather hard and pillows cheap. The decor was unusual and not to our taste. Not really a hotel. More like serviced rooms.
Superb location. Friendly staff. Quiet if your room is at the back of the building. (At the front would be noisy, particularly at weekends.)

United States of AmericaWould have liked an elevator but this is way overshadowed by staying in an awesome historic building in the center of an incredible historic city.
A really nice property in a wonderful location. Rooms were clean, location was easy to find and the manager and housekeeping staff were warm and welcoming. View of the plaza below was unbelievable and it was a real treat to watch the local life move past outside the huge windows. Being above a main busy plaza did lead to some extra noize one of the nights so if you expect silence after 10pm this might not be the best choice for you. We loved being in the middle of it all. Bathroom was nice with a huge sink and excellent AC. Included breakfast is packaged pastry and a Nespresso type machine in the room. Fine for us but not any kind of full service american style breakfast. No elevator and our room was on one of the upper floors. Again fine for us, but might be a big challenge for anyone who can't do stairs. Entrance was off the main square with a simple door and code and was not set up as a true hotel with 24/7 staff on site.
