Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything’s good
It’s very close to the Termini Station (just 7 minutes walk), there are some minimarket and foods nearby. I do love the way they manage each room, it only consists 4 beds which is not very big. The kitchen is also good.

United StatesBed is a little too short for me (5’4).
Location is close to central train station which is a huge bonus considering how un-suitcase-friendly Rome pavement is.

United KingdomThis is maybe small suggestions for the owners - would be great to have individual lights by the beds rather than one super bright central light as people often come in and go at different times and with no curtains on beds, it gets very annoying. Also maybe some deep clean in the bathrooms too get rid of that pesky mould 😉
A nice and quiet place to stay in a very convenient location for travel. It's set in a big block of apartments, no real signs on the outside. Simple but got everything for a quick fly by visit, staff were very friendly and helpful, great communication.

BrazilClean place, great location—I was able to walk to many attractions. The room setup is also well thought out, with only a few people per room. But what truly sets this place apart is the management, who go above and beyond to ensure guests have the best experience possible. I couldn’t have made a better choice!

AzerbaijanIt is not usual hostel concept. Rather an apartment rooms rented out to guests. Common space and kitchen was little for the amount of people that they are hosting. Walls are a bit thin, so so if you are talking with your roommate a little bit of loud tone, it can bother others in other room. Kitchen appliances could be more renewed. It was sometimes hard to find spoon or something like that. There wasn’t sockets for each of us around the bed, which can be problematic sometimes.
Location is close to two metros: Republica and Termini. Overall it was quiet despite being in Termini and I haven’t experienced anything bad during late night. There are mini markets around and Conrad city is in 5 minutes walking distance. Price for stay is quite reasonable for what you are getting. Bed sheets were clean and towels were provided without extra charge. Host, Enam, is respectful and thoughtful. He assisted to find a shop for buying bag, even helped for extra discount.

GermanyI want to thank Mr Enam(host) for his welcoming and his kindness. The place was really nice, clean and comfortable and only for women. It was so close to the Rome termin (train and bus station) The day of checkout, My flight was in late hours and Mr Enam let me keep the keys and let my staff in the building as much as i want and thanks to that I was able to visit more places comfortably. I really recommend the place.

United KingdomSmall cosmetic issues in the hostel like mould in the shower, cabinet doors not attached, but for the price you pay per night, it's really good! The kitchen is very small but not an issue for people like me who don't use it anyway.
The host could not have been more helpful, and allowed me to check in slightly early. The location is perfect for Rome Termini to travel around the city. Spacious bedrooms with good storage. Shampoo/soap/towels/bed linen all provided, which is great! Bathrooms fairly clean. Comfortable enough beds.

AustraliaLooking for the place felt very unsafe as a solo female traveller. The host did not give concise information of the address until 20 minutes before i had to check in and he was just waiting in the streets which can be quite daunting for a female traveller.
Location was very central and less than 10 minutes walk from Roma termini.

ItalyI really liked the position of the building, very close to Termini Station and near a bus stop in case you need it. Everything was cozy, I felt like I was at home, because there is an entire apartment at your disposal, with all the kitchen facilities that you might need. Of course you share with other people, but everyone is respectful and it's always nice to stay in hostels to connect with new people and hear about different cultures perspectives. Bathroom was clean, towels and sheets were provided, there was soap, shower gel and toothpaste, which came in handy because I did not pack for a lot of things, since I stayed in Rome for only a day. And of course there is wifi. The staff was very helpful, respectful and kind. I could leave my bags at the hostel even after the check in for the entire day, as I had to take the train in the evening and did not want to bring my luggage all around Rome.

United KingdomVery kind and helpful host. First I went to the worng address but he sent me the photo of the entrance door and was waiting for me for nearly an hour.A bottle of water was offerred me straight away. Nice room for 4 girls. Clean bed sheets and towles were provided. Comfy beds, small cupboards for small suitcases. You need to take a padlock though. there is a hairdryer in the bathroom. A small kitchen with a fridge, equipped with cutleries, pots, plates, etc. I needed an iron, I was given one. The Termini station is only 5 mins' walk. There are lots of restaurants, gift shops nearby. When I'm in Rome next time, I will be staying there again.

I would say this is a hostel for solo female travelers like me, of all ages. I met great people here, the location is good, very close to Termini. The hostel is in an old building and rooms are spacious. The host was quite nice, he always provides water and even washed one of my t-shirts that got stained due to heavy rain. Overall, a great experience, mainly for female travelers looking for a laid-back hostel.

The AC worked great it was a very good sleep. There’s no staff but if you need anything you can text on WhatsApp and get a quick response. Whoever checked me in was kind & respectful. They offer free water bottles which is a nice bonus. It’s close to the metro station and all the bus stops & shuttles
