Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Staff really helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Gave us a lift to Sauze in the evening if we wanted to try different restaurants. There was however a very good restaurant right next to Chalet Chez Nous which was very reasonably priced. Excellent breakfast - lots of choice. Rooms comfortable and cosy and nice bar area to relax in the evenings with an open fire. The ski locker was close to the bottom of the lift, heated and spacious which meant our gear was safe and dry and we did not have to store anything in our rooms or carry the few minutes walk back to the Chalet.

United KingdomExcellent location close to the ski lift and nice to have a boot room so close by too. Really great breakfast - plentiful, good choices and great coffee! The staff were superb - really friendly and could not have been more welcoming. Special thank you to Nicoletta for booking restaurants for us, arranging lifts into town and being super informative about the resort. This is a real gem of hotel and I hope we might return.

What a fantastic hotel. Couldn’t be in a better location for the ski lift in jouvenceaux, and lifts are kindly arranged each evening up to Sauze which is then just a short walk downhill back. Breakfast was brilliant. What makes this place is the people - so kind and thoughtful, planning taxis / recommending and booking restaurants. Nothing too much trouble. Thanks so much to everyone, especially Nicoleta who made us feel like we were at home.

LithuaniaThe host is amazing. After a few days of staying, we decided to come back here next year just to meet the Nicoletta (the host) again :) She took care of our comfort every day, even spending time and siting with as chatting in the evenings. The place is in the lower part of the town, but you get a free ride to the center if you have booked a dinner there. The place has all You need: super welcoming host, rooms are cleaned every day, a bar in which you can spend evenings with your friends and family, the ski depot and ski lift is just a few meters away. There is a restaurant nearby serving excellent food or You can get a free ride to the center if want to eat there.

IrelandThis year there was no ski to the door as the snow line was quiet high but this was not much of an issue.
Chalet Chez Nous was the perfect accomodation for us on our ski trip to Sauze. It is located very close to the Jovenceaux lift and was super easy to get up to the slopes every morning. The breakfast was lovely, typical continental, cereal, eggs fruit etc. Nicolette and the rest of the staff were amazing, very friendly and very helpful. They would often drive us into the town for our nights out. Couldn't be more happy and would definitely return.

United KingdomThe hotel was amazing, all the staff were friendly and Nico the manager treated us practically like family, organising everything for us from ski hire to taxi's to dinner reservations. The location was perfect, just 20m walk from the ski store to the closest lift (it is not in the main part of Sauze but they give you a lift every evening for dinner if you want). The rooms are immaculately clean, spacious and well equipped, there is also a super cute common area with an affordable bar and delicious charcuterie, board games and a cozy fire, perfect for cozy apres. There are a lot of returning guests at this hotel and I can see why, hope to be able to return!

United KingdomThere are only a couple of eating options in Jouvenceaux itself (though it’s old village charm is part of its appeal). Sauze is quite big and lively, with many more restaurants which can all get booked out in the busier weeks. The chalet offered taxi rides up to Sauze, but if you want to go in your own time, it is a very steep hill to walk up and about 1.5 km.
Breakfast at Chez Nous was fantastic, offering sweet (pastries, cake, toast, fruit) and savoury (ham, eggs, cheese). The chalet and room were kept very clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower and modern bathroom fittings were great. It’s a welcoming family run hotel. The team were all incredibly helpful and full of advice on where to eat, how to get to places, and in arranging bookings and taxi rides. Most of the guests were returnees, coming back year after year. We were unusual in it being our first time skiing in Sauze. We couldn’t have picked better accommodation or a better location with a level short walk to the lift.

Israel-
We had an excellent stay. Staff was extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel offers parking and a ski room just a 2 minute's walk from the nearest ski lift. They also very kindly provided a transfer service to Sauze town centre every evening (about 1.5 km away). Great value for money altogether.
