Hotel Centrale was a beautiful quintessential Italian hotel. The staff -- from booking throughout stay -- were fantastic. They were incredibly responsive to every email and very helpful with suggestions for dinner and car service. The daily breakfast provided was wonderful. And the location was exceptional -- walkable to the ferry, restaurants, and shopping. I was thrilled to find this gem.

This hotel is a beautiful family run hotel. They gave me a really warm welcome and were super attentive to any request at any hour. Small touches like leaving the breakfast tray of croissants and fruit etc before an early flight really make you feel looked after. The staff are just very kind considerate people who value your business. The hotel building itself is something out of a movie and set in in the heart of Bellagio among restaurants and the cobbled streets. A really romantic setting which gave you a traditional Italian experience which is hard to find in somewhere as popular as lake como. There is a lovely big communal terrace with a beautiful view of the mountains, a pretty breakfast dining room and a collection of books to work your way through. The room was exceptionally clean and had a very sweet balcony. They are really flexible and even after being out exploring for only a moment you will return to find your room has already been cleaned. The garden looked and smelt beautiful and notes of jasmine and other plants fill the grounds around the hotel! Very chilled out atmosphere and good staff who work hard to make you feel safe and comfortable. A very cute humble hotel which offers the perfect authentic Italian experience!

The bed was quite hard for my back, and some comfortable chairs on the terrace would be nice.

Beautiful property only 2 minutes walk up steps from lake, yet so tranquil with a beautiful shaded garden or rooftop garden to enjoy the sun & relax from the hustle & bustle. Comfortable room with small balcony which can fit to chairs. Staff extremely friendly & even allowed us to check in before midday as room was ready. Great value also. Would totally recommend & definitely stay again if in Bellagio.

My husband found the room hot as the air conditioner was turned off early evening.

breakfast was very abundant and the variety was well thought out. The location was excellent although the stairs were a concern for my husband who has knee problems, I did not know this at time of booking.

Central location , off street, means vehicular access is indirect- becomes an issue with heavy luggage, any frailty and taxi / limo drivers who don’t know the area. No mini- bar. Bed not very comfortable- needs mattress topper at least. Shower small( not unusual in regional Italy) - too small if guest 100kg+

We generally loved our stay; however, travelers should be aware that sounds carry easily from the hallway and bustling restaurants below, which may disturb very light sleepers.

Charming, rustic B&B in an old Italian house with a beautiful garden and terrace with slivers of lake views. Centrally located near the Bellagio waterfront with very hospitable front desk staff, clean and well appointed rooms.

The very steep climb up a narrow passage to get there.

Very charming, with wonderful restaurants and shops just around the corner. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The hotel has a beautiful private garden with lovely plants and serves a great breakfast.
