Rooms are functional and very clean but a little tired.

The views from the hotel are amazing while enjoying breakfast on the terrace. The owner Giuseppe was always helpful in providing recommendations and making restaurant reservations for us during our stay. The location is perfect within a few minutes walk of Sant Angelo and a bus stop directly in front of the hotel for trips around the island.

Casa Gerardo was absolutely fantastic place to stay in the most beautiful spot at South of the gorgeous island of Ischia. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable with various different areas to relax and enjoy the great view to the sea. Giuseppe the host was always there to make sure everything was ok and more - he truly made us feel welcome and treated us like royalty with excellent service and kindness throughout our stay. The breakfast was delightful and plentiful with bread, pastries and fresh fruits every day. You could order more drinks from the hotel as well and get wonderful tips of where to go in the Island. The whole place and neighborhood was calm and peaceful and the special beach right below the hotel felt like a private one! We would recommend this to anyone visiting Ischia wishing to have a pleasant and cosy stay in an authentic Italian environment.

The shower in my original garden view room was a bit temperamental, with the water pressure disappearing altogether if I turned up the heat. However the shower in the room was transferred to was fine

The location was first class. It was heavenly to have the breakfast on the terrace watching the sun rise over St Angelo. We were upgraded to sea view rooms, without charge, as the hotel was quiet. The breakfast was substantial and delicious Fresh bread, and cake, fruit, yogurt, coffee etc

The breakfast was very good and tasty. You had homemade cakes and croissants, butter, homemade jam and bread. The owner was very kind and always joking. He would give us discounts to places we would go and helped us to call a taxi. Overall, it was clean and very satisfying. Very convenient and scenic location, with a view on the village of Sant'Angelo. A few steps from tothe Tropical thermal parc.

Had the most wonderful stay at Casa Gerardo. Felt like staying with long time friends. Beautiful views over Sant Angelo, lovely breakfast, amazing apperitizo setting and wine! Guiseppi, Olga, and team are wonderful people that make you feel incredibly welcomed to this beautiful island. Walking distance to nice restaurants, bus, and connections to other beaches and thermal resorts.

-There was a lot of mold in the bathroom - The shower water pressure was so high it hurt my skin -The shower door broke off/came off railings when I was closing it -The paint on the shower was peeling off and glass/plastic cracked -Website indicates fresh baking and fruit for breakfast but neither were the case

Owner was very nice and helped provide recommendations for dinner and what to do in the area

You are a short walk from the beach. However the walk is a steep set of stairs. So you are not exactly beach or water front. Also, not related to the stay but FYI, most restaurants and stores on the island close from 2p-7pm which is fine if you are aware. If you are caught unaware, like we were, it makes for some stressful times as you wander around hangry looking for GF food options. Also, make reservations!! Especially if you have special dietary needs.

The room was quiet and a decent size. The room had ac. There were nice views from the various terraces. We requested Gluten Free breakfast options for my daughter and they provided us with a nice array of breakfast items for her. Giuseppe was very kind and helpful calling us taxis when needed.
