Everything about our stay was amazing! The communication before check in was prompt. On our arrival date, we needed to travel from Cortina d’Ampezzo early in the morning to avoid a snow storm, arriving several hours before check in. Alexandra said we could come early and park our car. And our room was ready for us shortly after our arrival. The room was very clean, with amenities, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were amazing and varied each day. They have a wine bar from 4-8 pm most evenings where you can get a drink (cold or hot) and a snack for a very reasonable price. Manuel was a delightful host as well. The service was outstanding and very personable. Alexandra gave us excellent suggestions for hikes and provided detailed directions for where to go and how to get there. The hotel was very conveniently located to the main walking street, maybe a 10 minute walk. The lifts to Alpe di Siusi and Seceda/Resciesa were also a close walk. Our time in Ortesei was fantastic! We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Nothing to fault.

I cannot rate Casa al Sole highly enough. The owners take great care of their guests; it feels more like a home than a hotel. The accommodation is first rate, the breakfasts are superb and there is a lovely bar to come back to in the evenings after some fantastic walking. Situated in Ortisei, the hotel is ideally located to experience the beautiful Dolomites. Thank you Manuel and Alexandra for your hospitality.

There's literally nothing I could think of. It's perfect!

This cute little hotel has absolutely floored us with care and hospitality. I've got to mention the breakfast as it is just scrumptious! Every day you get something different and it's a mouthful of taste. There's fresh pastry, yoghurts, oats, fruits and you can always order eggs if you're in need of some protein for your hike. The room was very clean and cosy, I really enjoyed that it was breathable even with closed windows thanks to the wall ventilation. Special thanks to the owners and staff as they are attentive: my wife asked for lactose free milk and they managed to adapt their breakfasts with this in mind ❤️ If anyone's wondering about the location, then it's easily accessible by public transport as it's 5 minutes by foot from the Ortisei center. All three cable cars are also in very close proximity to the hotel.

We loved everything about our stay at Casa Al Sole. The hosts and staff are warm and friendly and make you feel at home. Service is very personalised. The location is exceptional for accessing everything this beautiful region has to offer, and the hosts guidance on the best walks, places to eat etc were gratefully received and perfect for us. The breakfast was one of the best we have had and wines in the terrace made for a perfect end to each day. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Casa Al Sole is a beautiful design hotel but its greatest assets are Manuel and Alexandra, whose friendly service and recommendations on hiking routes, transport connections and even local restaurants were absolutely spot on. Alexandra provided me with suggestions for hikes each day, and these were so good I ended up hiking on every one of my eight days there. Breakfasts were more than just good fuel for walking - each morning fresh local bread, farmers butter, oats, yoghurt and pastries were brought to my table, as well as the day’s special (e.g. eggs, French toast etc). The lounge was a great place to sit and read, or have a drink, at the end of a long day hiking, and the dining room can be used in the evening to order in food from one of the restaurants in town. As a solo traveler, who had not been hiking in 20 years, the team at Casa Al Sole provided everything I needed. My stay here, and the extraordinary Val Gardena landscape, have inspired me to do many more hiking holidays in future.

They mean business about not checking in until 4:00. There is no flexibility there.

The hotel was easy to find. They had abundant, free parking. The staff was very friendly and were always available to help with touring, etc. Breakfast was amazing! There is a bar available in the evenings. The rooms were large and comfortable. We loved our stay!

Nothing could have topped our experience.

The breakfast every day was incredible, and provided the perfect start. The staff was helpful in providing tips for various hikes and trails to go on. The hotel is in the perfect location to travel to any of the lifts, and even close to the city center where you can take a bus to other towns or even enjoy Ortisei. On top of the stellar service, the hotel is warm and makes you truly feel at home. Plus they offer Natural Wine and delicious snacks every afternoon on their lovely terrace.

Our hosts Manuel and Alexander were so helpful and nice. They gave us advice on the routes for our hikes where to eat. On the day of checkout, as we need to leave at 6.30 am, they prepared our breakfast in a bag for take away. As it was also my husband birthday, they left a note to wish him happy birthday .. such thoughtful gesture. ❤️❤️

Cleanliness, friendliness, knowledge of the Dolomites, quality of furnishings, excellent breakfast, location, everything was top notch. Alexandra and Manuel clearly put in all their effort into everything they do. Nice and quiet at night as well. Thanks for the hiking route plans and recommendations, and excellent negronis!

There was nothing to dislike. If we are being pedantic, I supposed a fan in the room will be nice as it gets quite stuffy even after you open the windows. But it's not a big issue as it was still quite chilly when we were here.

We love everything about the hotel. It was modern and the room had was well appointed. The toilet and shower area were perfect. The bath gel and handwash were top quality. Manuel and Alexandra were the perfect hosts who gave advice on almost everything. They both ran the hotel and saw to everything including breakfast in the morning. Obviously they took pride in what they do. The location although on a slope was perfect was near enough to everything. We love everything about this place. Manuel is a very witty man and had lots of good advice. They accommodated us when we requested to help us heat up our food brought from home. If we do come back to Ortisei we will stay here again. On a side note there is fantastic restaurant just down the slope a few minutes walk away named Torunda. Food is exceptional and we went twice when in Ortisei.
