There was a bit of confusion when the keys were not in the lock box. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant while we waited for things to be sorted out. The communication from the host was not acceptable and when we finished dinner we just happened to run into a staff member who was replacing the keys but it caused us some unwanted stress at the end of a long travel day. I was dreading having to drag suitcases around the island looking for alternate lodgings

The facility was excellent. Lots of space. Full kitchen including a clothes washing machine.

I repeatedly was asked to send our passport details as a reply to the email which I did about 6 times. Booking.com did not respond to my numerous messages as our flight was delayed and we would not be arriving until 12;00am, I finally received the code after trying to ring the host and booking.com and then had to fi d the location in darkness as we got to the accomodation at 2:00am.

Very well located, it is exactly how it shows in the pictures. We had enough room for 3 and a dog, good appliances in the kitchen, and it was all very clean. The instructions prior to the arrival were all spot on, and the check in and keys collection went smooth, and it was great to arrive to a bottle of prosecco and cookies.

Large flies and tiny mosquitos found their way into the apartment somehow in spite of closed windows (there is good a/c). My wife speculated they were rising from the drain. A handful of flies I could easily dispatch, but the mosquitos were evasive and favoring my flavor, feasted upon me. I emerged from our stay with over a half dozen bites and killed but one of them. Win: mosquitos. Loss for the lodging. Not sure how to solve the problem other than a visit at another time of year. (These were unquestionably mosquitos, so no, do not fear other types of bugs.)

It's up LOTS of steps, which we didn't realize, but common for Venice. We could happily stay there again.

Fabulous location a few hundred feet from the San Toma vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal. Easy walk to most of Venice. Old, funky, fun, set up. 3 comfy beds and 2 nice bathfrooms. Quiet. Nice kitchen we didn't use and free prosecco and cookies. Handled 5 people easily. Owners very nice and helpful with good instructions.

On the King bed there were two single mattresses, one being lower and softer than the other which made it quite uncomfortable for my husband and I, the mattresses were often separating and we had to keep pushing these back together. Lots of mosquitos in the room so make sure to bring your bug repellent! No toiletries or soap given which was unexpected.

Great location, clean property, two stunning bathrooms. Great kitchen facilities including, gas hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Also, two ACs in bedroom and living room which were ideal.

Just few tiny things to improve, our stay was great. There was a washing machine and dishwasher but no detergents to use (there was dish soap, but no sponge either). Slow shower drain in one of the bathrooms. The bed in main bedroom had 2 separate mattresses, with a gap in between.

Very attentive owners, answering immediately. Wonderful central yet very quiet location, few steps from vaporetto stop, short walk to train/bus station and main attractions. The flat is quite spacious, very clean and nicely renovated with beautiful old ceilings; there are 2 fully equipped bathrooms.
