Breakfast was very good. Simple and good, Very spacious in quiet neighborhood. A few feet from a canal where the water taxi drops you off from the airport. Let the host arrange it, much more simple and worry free, Plenty of bars and restraunts on the canal. You will walk alot for tours and seeing the tourist areas, but its Venice. Apartment is very spacious. The host was arranging a water taxi to the cruise terminal but couldn't get one because of the Venice Film Festival so he rented a boat and took us! Another adventure

The property was in an ideal location close to good bars & restaurants, but also far enough away from the bustling tourist centre to be a haven during our trip. The apartment itself was outstanding with beautiful rooms and a well stocked kitchen but perhaps even better than the apartment were the hosts. I never had to balk at asking the hosts anything as we were made to feel like family & that wanted our trip to run smoothly. I highly recommend the water taxi transfers as it was both enjoyable and saved time and energy. We highly recommend Ca’Allessandro & would definitely choose to stay here if we visited Venice again. :)

Elisa and her niece (who checked us in) were so nice and helpful. I was most thankful for the set up for water taxi, unexpected provisions and treats. The personal check in as well as advice and suggestions for Venice. She had very good and clear communication from start to finish. We unfortunately had a health issue occur with our daughter and spent the most of our two days in the hospital. Elisa was very empathetic unlike many of the service people who seem to be burned out or tired of the tourist. The hospital experience was terrible. Triage guy told us they didn’t have ultrasound equipment but could only offer blood test. So I continued to panic trying to find a place outside of Venice that we could get a that test done. It ended up that they did have it. Wouldn’t let us sit in waiting room with daughter.

Love the authenticity of staying in an apartment rather than a hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Giulia and stepped through the apartment's facilities & (copious) provisions, and given tips for our stay in Venice. Giulia was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered every question we had. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect (slightly quieter) part of the city but still with loads nearby (don't go any further looking for ice cream than Bacaro del Gelato just downstairs - there really is no better ON THE PLANET - it made my sister CRY it was so good) and the water bus stop just a 5-10 minute walk away, depending how fast you walk. Elisa was accommodating regarding our departure as well as being a terrific host in the run up to our stay. I would highly recommend this apartment as long as you don't have mobility issues as it's up a couple of flights of fairly steep stairs with no lift (elevator) Definitely planning a return trip and very much looking forward to it

Nothing! Of course if you have mobility issues, an old building with stone steps (or Venice itself) may not be a great choice.

This was such a find - a beautiful, spacious, stylish, comfortable apartment in a wonderful, authentic part of Venice far removed from the tourist mobs yet convenient to everything. Hard to imagine a nicer host than Elisa, who seemed more like a new friend than a host, so fun to communicate with and a wealth of information on anything you need to know for your stay or about Venice in general. The recommendations for local restaurants were fantastic - we loved the ones we got to try; what a difference from the mediocre tourist type places we experienced on our previous trip. The street the apartment is around the corner from has such a great feel, a sense of actual Venice life. Breakfast is the Italian B&B style but with a wider range of things to choose from (it is self serve). So nice to open up the shutters in the morning and look out through our tall windows onto a real Venice street. In case you can’t tell, we simply loved our stay here!

The property had every convenience you could need. It was clean, tidy and the owner Elisa was a fantastic host. She left goodies for us to enjoy, helped us carry our suitcases up the stairs and arranged help for us to the train station.

This was on us, but pay attention when it says you have to walk up stairs (anywhere in Venice) to get to your place. The stairs were narrower than used to so was a bit of an effort to bring the luggage up. We succeeded without hurting ourselves and laughed at ourselves after for not being more aware.

The location was in a neighborhood instead of the tourist center so nice and quiet. There were several small eating establishments along the walkway by the apartment. The apartment was very well upgraded and comfortable. The owner had it stocked with juices and breakfast items for the stay. The owner was super helpful throughout and even made the water taxi arrangements for us.

The location was great, on a quiet street but with restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Elisa was wonderful, she met us there and gave us much helpful information. I had also been in touch beforehand and she responded quickly each time with information about traveling there. She also arranged for us to get to the train station when we left. the apartment was lovely and comfortable and the well stocked fridge was a nice surprise for breakfast.

This is the best apartment we’ve stayed in during our holiday in Italy. The location is perfect, situated in a quieter part of Venice with lots of restaurants nearby. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable self catering stay plus so many extra amenities and appliances. Elisa and Giulia made us feel really welcome and explained everything in detail. The book of information compiled by Elisa and the recommendations Giulia made were really helpful. We also had a number of messages from Elisa during our stay just to check that everything was all right and to ask whether we needed anything. I have stayed in Venice before and this is the best apartment by far. Well done Elisa and thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us.

There was nothing we didn’t like. although be aware it’s on the second floor if steps are an issue for you.

It was quiet, comfortable and had lots of little extras to make our stay easy. We were amazed at the food provided - even coffee pods! it was very good value for money. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. lots of good recommendations. The restaurants nearby are good, less touristy and cheaper! It’s far enough from the centre to be quieter but still an easy walk to get to all the main sights.

2 flights of steps to negotiate with luggage - but wasn’t the end of the world, we managed.

The property is spacious clean and has everything you could ever need. Fresh breakfast goods is an added bonus. In a quiet part of Venice but only a 5 min walk to the hustle and bustle of the centre. Lovely wine bars and restaurants on the doorstep also. Few min walk from the water taxi station so easy to get from the airport and around. The host was very attentive and excellent.

We might have struggled to find the apartment without Eliza's niece but obviously didn't need to!!

The location is perfect, the apartment is away from the busy streets in a quiet area. We were met by Eliza's niece off the boat which was very kind. Eliza's niece gave us lots of great tips on sites/ places to eat, this was so useful!! The cakes and treats were well received. Eliza's communication was brilliant. The apartment was warm and comfortable.

This is a charming, comfortable, beautifully furnished, well-stocked apartment in a great location -- away from the crowds and tangles of San Marco, but in a lively, interesting area nearby. Our stay wasn’t long enough.

Elisa was amazing. Such helpful advice on arrival, enough food, milk, coffee etc for breakfasts for our entire stay as well as a little something special cake for our Christmas stay.

Be mindful that if you are traveling with baggage, you need to carry it up the stairs to the apartment. You need gum boots or disposable boots to walk around some parts of the city during high tide in the morning. This is a tip for Venice, not about Ca' Alessandro.

Elisa is really caring, kind, and nice. She is very quick with communications, allowed an early check-in as well as a late check-out. She met us at the door with keys in a very short time of our phone call. The place was very comfortable and homely with little touches. The kitchen is functional and practical and you can cook if you choose to. We loved the homemade cakes. Her recommendations for restaurants and places to visit were so helpful and fabulous, adding wonderful memories.
