This was on us, but pay attention when it says you have to walk up stairs (anywhere in Venice) to get to your place. The stairs were narrower than used to so was a bit of an effort to bring the luggage up. We succeeded without hurting ourselves and laughed at ourselves after for not being more aware.

The location was in a neighborhood instead of the tourist center so nice and quiet. There were several small eating establishments along the walkway by the apartment. The apartment was very well upgraded and comfortable. The owner had it stocked with juices and breakfast items for the stay. The owner was super helpful throughout and even made the water taxi arrangements for us.

Nothing, it was perfect.

The location was great, on a quiet street but with restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Elisa was wonderful, she met us there and gave us much helpful information. I had also been in touch beforehand and she responded quickly each time with information about traveling there. She also arranged for us to get to the train station when we left. the apartment was lovely and comfortable and the well stocked fridge was a nice surprise for breakfast.

Leaving the apartment 😔

This is the best apartment we’ve stayed in during our holiday in Italy. The location is perfect, situated in a quieter part of Venice with lots of restaurants nearby. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable self catering stay plus so many extra amenities and appliances. Elisa and Giulia made us feel really welcome and explained everything in detail. The book of information compiled by Elisa and the recommendations Giulia made were really helpful. We also had a number of messages from Elisa during our stay just to check that everything was all right and to ask whether we needed anything. I have stayed in Venice before and this is the best apartment by far. Well done Elisa and thanks for sharing your beautiful space with us.

There was nothing we didn’t like. although be aware it’s on the second floor if steps are an issue for you.

It was quiet, comfortable and had lots of little extras to make our stay easy. We were amazed at the food provided - even coffee pods! it was very good value for money. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. lots of good recommendations. The restaurants nearby are good, less touristy and cheaper! It’s far enough from the centre to be quieter but still an easy walk to get to all the main sights.

2 flights of steps to negotiate with luggage - but wasn’t the end of the world, we managed.

The property is spacious clean and has everything you could ever need. Fresh breakfast goods is an added bonus. In a quiet part of Venice but only a 5 min walk to the hustle and bustle of the centre. Lovely wine bars and restaurants on the doorstep also. Few min walk from the water taxi station so easy to get from the airport and around. The host was very attentive and excellent.

We might have struggled to find the apartment without Eliza's niece but obviously didn't need to!!

The location is perfect, the apartment is away from the busy streets in a quiet area. We were met by Eliza's niece off the boat which was very kind. Eliza's niece gave us lots of great tips on sites/ places to eat, this was so useful!! The cakes and treats were well received. Eliza's communication was brilliant. The apartment was warm and comfortable.

This is a charming, comfortable, beautifully furnished, well-stocked apartment in a great location -- away from the crowds and tangles of San Marco, but in a lively, interesting area nearby. The host is wonderful: genuinely caring and responsive to guest needs. I look forward to staying here again.

Our stay wasn’t long enough.

Elisa was amazing. Such helpful advice on arrival, enough food, milk, coffee etc for breakfasts for our entire stay as well as a little something special cake for our Christmas stay.

Be mindful that if you are traveling with baggage, you need to carry it up the stairs to the apartment. You need gum boots or disposable boots to walk around some parts of the city during high tide in the morning. This is a tip for Venice, not about Ca' Alessandro.

Elisa is really caring, kind, and nice. She is very quick with communications, allowed an early check-in as well as a late check-out. She met us at the door with keys in a very short time of our phone call. The place was very comfortable and homely with little touches. The kitchen is functional and practical and you can cook if you choose to. We loved the homemade cakes. Her recommendations for restaurants and places to visit were so helpful and fabulous, adding wonderful memories.

There was not anything we did not like. You must be able to carry your luggage up to the third floor though.

Beautiful apartment that is well appointed and in a wonderful location. And we were delighted that it had a washing machine. The owner provided fresh baked cakes, breakfast items, lists of suggested restaurants and places to visit. She checked in to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. The location is a bit of a walk from all the main attraction (15-20min) as it is located slightly closer to the train station. But walking the stone streets and going over bridges steps (3 bridges) with luggages is difficult so it was better that Elisa's place was closer to the train station even though we had to walk farther to get to all our planned activities.

We had an amazing time in Venice. Elisa’s home was comfortable, clean, and she really spent time adding details to make her house feel completely like home. Her kitchen is fully stocked with coffee and a few breakfast and snack items that we all enjoyed throughout the day. I particularly enjoyed sipping a cup of coffee while looking out the large window. We also appreciated the AC and washing machine that was in the house. We traveled with our 2 kids-a 9 and 13 year old. They loved having their own space. This house was the perfect size for our family. We’d definitely recommend this house to our friends and family and we’d definitely come back if we ever came back to Venice. Elisa checked in on us to make sure we were doing well and was also very accommodating and flexible with our travel schedule. Thank you, Elisa!!!

We loved this apartment. The host was very friendly and provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing and local restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and included good protein options (eggs, cheese, etc.) in addition to delicious pastries, coffee, milk etc. The neighborhood was easy to reach and was close to plenty of good restaurants, bars and grocery stores. It was a relief to stay in a neighborhood with a mix of locals and some tourists versus the all tourist hot zone.
