Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was very nice, in very good cleaning conditions and it was cleaned every day. Not far from the attractions, you could walk 20-30 minutes and enjoy the Colosseum or the Trevi fountain.

IndiaWalls are too thin - I could hear loud TV from the room next to mine. The location is walking distance from the station; however, some part in between lacks a pedestrian walkway. In the evening, it was slightly an unpleasant walk, safety point of view.
The cleaning lady was super efficient and polite. The room overall was clean and functional. Feels safe once inside the building.

BelarusIf you have an ability, I'd suggest to choose another district. Especially for long stay. Yes, it's close to the railway and not far from the main tourist places, but the distict itself don't seems safe. The room have very thin walls and the door to another room, so you'll hear everything from your neighbours. We were luck and our neighbours were quiet and we tried to be as quiet as possible, but anyway. We couldn't handle the shower to get the warm water normally. It was cold and warm periodically for few minutes, so taking shower was a challenge.
Self-checkin, near the the train station, so it's good if you arrive late or departure early, or just have fast travel. Room is clean and in good overall condition. Pleasant staff.

United StatesMany disappointments for this place. The neighborhood is bad. We didn’t feel safe in the neighborhood. The room was so small that there was not enough space for a couple to move around. Not enough closet, shelves or drawers to put your clothes. No shampoo, no glasses, no slippers etc. No basic equipment that you would expect from any hotel. I would not recommend this place.
The location is closed to the train station.

JapanThe room requires three keys. The number to open building front door was not provided beforehand. I called the phone number on the door but it was unavailable. Finally I found another phone number though booking.com website on a rainy and dark street, and he told me the key number. Opening the next door requires online check-in. I had already checked in in the train but it was not approved until I phoned again. I recommend other users to checking-in as soon as possible when guidance mail arrived.
The location was close to Roma Termini station. I could go by walk from the station about 10 minutes. The room was new, tidy, and had an enough space.
