The water was cold when I took a shower in the morning. There was very little variety at breakfast. If breakfast is included, everyone's expectations will be higher.

Some simple maintenance in the bathroom would improve the facilities.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years - while the interior is a little "tired", the upside is that the hotel is in easy walking distance to the station and the ferry and bus stops (to airport), with plenty of restaurants nearby. Our room was reasonably large and clean, and had the benefit of a balcony. Breakfast was plentiful with sweet and savoury items plus coffee and tea. The staff were welcoming.

Air conditioning in the room barely working -it was very hot and stuffy. Had an opening window/door but it let in the mosquitoes 🦟 and there were workman outside the window doing building work on the hotel so it was noisy during the day marking it difficult to have an afternoon nap. No tea or coffee making facility in the rooms.

Small bathroom. Very small shower. Although we booked this place because it had a lift we were given a room that was not accessed by lift so had to lug of suitcases up 3 flights of stairs to our room. So before you commit to book here if you're a bigger sized person or you need a decent sized shower toilet or have access issues and stairs are not your friend you need to check that you get what you need before booking so it is available to you when you get there.

Short walk from train station. Close to restaurants, transport and Grande Canal. Central location.. Good sized room. Friendly staff. A great location to base yourself .

My room was out the back through an emergency door and a second door. It felt isolated as a solo traveller. The room was basic with not even a bottle of water supplied. No jug/ coffee maker or fridge which are standard in most places. There was unexpectedly a step inside the door to the bedroom which was a definite fall hazard.

The pillows were terrible, thin and flat and hard, a substitute was provided but was little better than the original. No hot water to make a cup of tea in our room, despite being told we could get hot water from reception as there were no kettles in the room. The (small) amount of stairs between the level where the elevator stopped, and our room, were difficult to manage with our luggage.

Location was excellent. The breakfast was really great. The decor was unusual, quirky and different to anything I've previously experienced. Staff were in general, helpful and friendly, although on arrival, there were some minor problems, things were not as expected, and the person in reception was unbending in that he was unable to provide any hot water, despite us being told via email that this was available when we requested a kettle in the room, when it clearly was not possible!

I stayed already twice at Hotel Belle Epoque, it’s a very nice hotel conveniently located (2 min walking to S Lucia station, few minutes to piazzale Roma). The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with a nice the bathroom, they have everything that you need for a perfect stay in Venice. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend the hotel for your next trip to beautiful Venice !

The floor carpet is old and cannot be cleaned. This should be changed. When you enter the room, you can feel the strong aroma of cheap perfumes. This is probably due to the drainage. There are stains on the wall fabric that should be cleaned.

Excellent location. It is a 3 min walk from the central train station and public transport barge pier. Excellent, varied breakfast offer. The hotel has a beautiful interior and the walls are decorated with fabric. Cabinet doors are decorated with paintings. The double beds are wide and comfortable.
