Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineWhile our overall experience was very positive, there were a couple of small issues that prevented me from giving the room a perfect 10. Firstly, there is no ventilation system, so the bathroom window had to be kept open at all times, which occasionally allowed traffic noise to disturb us at night. Secondly, the bathroom door was difficult to close and could only be shut from the inside, which unfortunately let in more street noise due to the open window. As a result, I would recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
We had a fantastic experience with the staff, who provided excellent support throughout our stay. We arrived in Rome before the official check-in time, and the hotel graciously allowed us to leave our bags until our room was ready. The daily cleaning service was a pleasant surprise, as we didn't expect it to be so thorough. Overall, I would highly recommend this room and the hotel. The location is excellent, right in the center of Rome. There are many other benefits, but I can’t recall them all right now.

United StatesExact "steps" to locate Trinity dei Monti, enter the property, obtain the key, etc. was a disaster! This should be a simple 1. 2. 3. Bullet point list. Especially if it was for an elderly person or someone who has never used these services. The room was nice. I'm not a fan of the bathroom across the hall, although it was private. Needs new sleeping pillows!

CanadaWe had problems with our ac/heating unit. Someone came to fix it. But we had same problem the next day. Luckily, it wasn’t that cold so we were able to manage without heat. But on colder days it could have been an inconvenience. Having said that, everything else about the property was amazing.

It was conveniently located a couple of minutes walk from the Spanish steps, attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The room was comfy with a huge window overlooking the street. There was also a little kitchen with some basic amenities. The bathroom was really nice and spacious. Overall, a great stay in Rome.

Czech RepublicWe had trouble opening the code lock on the door after the departure, he stuck and we could not enter to pick up our suitcases. New guests were opened to us and we managed to catch our train to the areoport.
We liked the location of the hotel, tourist facilities, restaurants and shops were within walking distance. At the same time, the street was quiet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, bed linen was changed every day. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. We appreciated the opportunity to leave luggage for free before check-in and after check-out.

HungaryWe had a little adventure with the electricity. When I arrived the guys staying there thought that I came to restore the power supply. Obviously this was not the case but we managed to overcome the situation. We had to switch back the main switch plus also turn the keys in the rooms. After that everything was alright.

BrazilBed was not very comfortable at all. Wi-fi was terrible, did not work for me at all except for simple whatsapp messages. (Instagram, youtube or anything else forget about it.) Overall we felt that the price was too high for the room and facilities - in the end it was all about the great location.
Hostess was exceptional with us, very friendly! Location is spectacular, top-notch.
