The setting was incredible, so happy we were outside of the busy town. The family that owns the inn were very kind. We loved meeting the 96 year old matriarch of the family, so beautiful and full of life.

From the time we arrived until the time we left, all of the staff was most helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The surroundings were well away from town and very quiet yet it was east to go into town. Breakfast offered a good selection of pastries and fruit and eggs were available in any way you requested. The dinner menu was outstanding. We ate twice at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Our waiter Michele was new to the restaurant but was always very helpful and pleasant with us. His sense of humor made for very pleasant conversation. This being our first time in Cortina and the Dolomite region, Baita Fraina made a great impression of the area and the people.

The property is excellent and really good value for money. It is difficult to top this property. I would come back here again and again.

Baita Fraina is an excellent property. Mr. Adolfo Menardi and family are lovely people who own and run the place and make sure you are safe, comfortable, and happy. I felt very welcome here. The service is excellent. The Breakfast at this B&B is the best! I liked the breakfast buffet consisting of prosciutto, speck, cheeses, cornetto, breads, cakes, eggs cooked anyway you like it, pickles, fruits, juices, coffee, chocolate drink, juices, and yogurt. Baita Fraina Restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. Try the Spaghetti with Deer Ragù, the Deer Steak with Balsamic Vinegar, the Beef Steak - everything is a gustatory treat! The bedroom and bathroom have everything you may need. The room we stayed in - No. 3 had a comfortable bed, a cozy vibe, bright but soft yellow lighting with the bulbs cleverly concealed behind wooden panels in the beamed ceiling. The wood panelling in the room gives off a fragrant woody smell. The room is so relaxing and the bed comfortable and cozy. The bathroom had new and fresh towels everyday, enough shampoo and soap and other amenities. This B&B is very good value for money. I am very happy that I stayed here and would stay here again and recommend it to my friends. The property is located on top of a hill. From the window of our room, we could see dolomite mountains. Since we were here in late March and it snowed, the whole place was blanketed in snow. Going to town is a short downward walk to the highway through a paved road through a woody area. When blanketed in snow, it looked so magical.

The hotel restaurant facilities are warm and comfortable but a couple of dinner meals were disappointing and expensive. The hotel is in a very pretty rural setting a couple of kms from the city but the roadway into the hotel is narrow and in places only wide enough for one car.

An exceptionally well run and maintained family hotel with excellent staff. The buffet breakfast and service was a highlight. The room was very comfortable and had a balcony with mountain views. There is ample onsite free parking. It was well priced to comparable accommodation in Cortina. I enjoyed the loop walk through the fir forest at the rear of the hotel. It was helpful that a few staff spoke English.

A very nice place at a beautiful location with very kind hosts. It's a little further from the city center, but since the city center was a bit busy, the location was perfect for us. Our room was quite big and spacious, nice and clean (actually nicer in real life than in the pictures), well-equipped with a big balcony and a beautiful view to the mountains. The breakfast was always nice, fresh and very delicious (excellent coffee and fried eggs). We also tried the restaurant for dinner and that was also very good. There is an impressive selection of wine, but since we don't like wine, we didn't try them. I can definitely recommend it both as an accommodation and as a restaurant.

The best stay for the very first time in Cortina. Me and my brother felt in love with this picturesque village. Clean, comfort and pretty room with big terrace. Very polite and friendly people/staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious and super fresh. I would recommend it 10/10. We would love to visit Cortina during the winter time.

Would have been nice to have a small fan in the room for use during warm summer days and nights. Good parking for hotels guests except when there was a large event at the restaurant. However, parking was always available a short distance away from the hotel.

Superb breakfast. Helpful and attentive staff. Beautiful location outside of the congested and touristy town of Cortina d'Ampezzo. Nearby hiking trails. Excellent restaurant on-site.
