The only thing I could think of was the dinner. Portions were rather small. Luckily there are many good restaurants around.

Proper 5 star venue. Good rooms, perfect pool. Tasty breakfast. Absolutely stunning beach.

My only suggestion would be to have some more practical and cheaper lunch options. I don’t have a problem with dinner prices, the food at the restaurant was great and understandably priced for fresh fish, pasta etc but it would be nice to have few salads and sandwiches for lunch at less than 25 euros. I live in NY so I am used to high prices but more variety for light lunch could be a good addition. Not a deal breaker for me but just a suggestion.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. We celebrated our anniversary and everything was just fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, from the prosecco and cake at our arrival to celebrate our anniversary to booking restaurants for us and communicate in a efficient yet personal way. The hotel is beautiful, the pool area and private beach are just perfect. Sardegna is a magical place but I felt extra special in this hotel and I am an Italian living abroad for a long time, I have to admit I don’t always like the Italian customer service but in this hotel the staff was just superb. We wanted to extend our stay! The two restaurants on site are great, the Gusto by Sadler tasting menu experience was Michelin star. The cocktails at the bar are also very tasty. Basically yes to everything! Would like to thank Carlotta, Valentina and Emilia but also everyone else working there. A suggestion to guests: have cash to tip when checking out, we are used to do on the credit card and unfortunately we didn’t have cash at check out so next time I will make sure we do. We stayed in many beautiful hotels around the world and I would rate this one on top.

There were a few minor issues here and there but that is absolutely normal for a hotel that has just opened its doors under a new management team. Most importantly, there is nothing that cannot be solved in the short term and the kindness and hard work of every single person I have met there far makes up for any issue.

The location is phenomenal and benefits from a great beach and a super pool area. The staff is kind, hard-working and fully committed to making every guest feel special. The interior design is beautiful and leverages local suppliers (please add a boutique for local produces so I can buy them next time). The gourmet restaurant is lovely and benefits from a young yet very capable chef with international experiences in very well renowned restaurants. Rooms are large and quiet..perfect for relaxing.

Lack of choices on restaurants, foods and activities. The property is like a gated community, distant from the nearby towns, and thus no chance to walk to Puntaldia or any other towns. Lunch choices are limited to the breakfast restaurant and the pool side bar. No burger joint or pizzeria or coffee bar inside the hotel property. (By the way, frozen margarita I had at the pool side bar was horrible.) We wanted to do some trekking or archeological site visits but could not easily find excusión options.

Secluded location off the hustles and bustles of Sardinia towns. Isolated apartment-like semi-detached houses where guest rooms are located. Clean and good individual space in the guest room. Serene and clean swimming pools. Not crowded at all.

Cleaning was terrible (our room was with a dirty diaper from previous guest, it was stinking. they didn’t remove all trash from the room, they used an oil in the floor that was disgusting. Customer service - they left in the room a gift under the wrong name, all time they change our orders, we got to the hotel at 10:45pm and they couldn’t prepare anything for us to dinner (just salads in room service). The restaurant was quite expensive for a food that was very average.

Facilities are very good, beach infrastructure very nice, amazing swimming pool.

    Awful Honeymoon at Baglioni Sardinia
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Grand Deluxe Double Room
    • Stayed 3 nights

My husband and I booked to stay in the Baglioni for 5 nights for our honeymoon. We had an awful experience and checked out after 3 days. The day we decided to check out (2 days earlier than originally planned), we went to reception to speak with the manager. The manager was disinterested in our feedback and offered to waive the penalty for leaving early if we promised not to write a review on booking.com. Obviously, I did not agree to this bribe and my full review can be found below: The room was old fashioned and not well maintained i.e. mold in the shower, bad patching on the walls and insects all over the room. The bed and couch were both very old and very uncomfortable. There are limited options for dinner, Ruia (fine-dining) and Sadler by Gusto (Michelin star). The Michelin star restaurant was closed during our stay. There are no other bars or restaurant nearby, there are no taxis available, and the resort is not serviced by public transit therefore without a rental car you are essentially trapped in Baglioni. The resort takes full advantage of this so charge eye-watering prices for the mediocre food and drink they serve; hummus appetizer €28, aperol spritz €20 and a coke €8. The quality and variety of food on offer did not match the price. Very repetitive menu for 5 nights. Some drinks at the pool bar were being charged at 30% more than the prices stated on the online menu. There was disappointment at every opportunity. The breakfast service was chaotic with a 50-minute wait for eggs every morning that somehow managed to be uncooked when they reached the table, we had a complimentary massage performed by an inexperienced masseuse, and were offered very overpriced car transfers to the nearest town for dinner. These transfers were charged at €47 one way for a ~5km trip to San Teodoro. The bar and restaurant staff are not trained to a level you would expect in a 5 star resort. Baglioni seize every opportunity to charge you and overcharge you.

The highlight of the resort is the beach BUT this is a PUBLIC beach, therefore you can stay somewhere else and still access the beautiful white sand beach without having to endure the Baglioni. The reception staff, especially Yulia were very friendly, professional and experienced.

They advertise a “private untouched beach”: it is misleading and false since that beach is a crowded public one with no privacy and absolutely zero facilities and services (no food, no bar, no toilet, no nothing) reachable by an uncomfortable 5-min walk on rough terrain. Rooms are small and lacking basic amenities. Other minor issues during the stay. Generally speaking, not good value for money considering the rates charged and comparing with other 5* hotels in the area.

Friendly and attentive staff, very good restaurants. Overall, a decent experience.

The food was over priced for the quality, particularly the food around the pool/bar. The beach was not as advertised - private area on a beach with no immediate access to toilets or food/drink facilities on the beach. The hotel should advertise that if you intend to leave the hotel site a rental car is essential. The taxis or “transfers” as referred to by the hotel are extortionate. €150 to the airport - it’s a 25mins journey

The rooms were excellent and the overall hotel site were very pleasant in a palatial location

The prices of food and drink were extortionate, so, all bars were completely deserted in the evening, a shame as the setting was fabulous. Just no lovely vibe that is so easily achievable. We would sit last thing having a drink with only the bar staff. The place itself was very isolated, which is great in the day but to go to the nearest town a transfer was needed as could not be walked. The hotel charged 34 euros each way, ten minute ride. We went in most nights as the hotel food lovely but small portions and very expensive. Also a small shop would be nice selling magazines etc as nothing else available nearby. We were not happy with our first room as small but we were moved to a larger one which was fine.

The breakfast was fine although very mixed whether you got the coffee etc you ordered. Also, you had to order any cooked eggs from the waiter but all other hot food was self service, which ever way you did it, the food was cold as you were waiting for something. The staff were lovely but the method needs looking at. The rooms were nice but could still do with a bit of freshening up, the hotel is only on its second season since taking over from the previous owners.

Taxi/transfer service is extremely expensive and the communication between reception/staff and transfer company very poor. For such an expensive service, you would expect transfers to be confirmed promptly and arrive on time, but every evening when using this service had issues. €68 return journey to San Teodoro (5 miles) is ludicrous. We believed the hotel had a track to walk to the beach but the bridge connecting the area had not been constructed, but buggy service till 6.30pm providing shuttles. €27 to be picked up after this time (1.5 miles). Never tried the Gusto restaurant, but the Ruia restaurant was nice but over-priced and similar style food to the Gusto menu. Pool bar menu similar also but with more sandwiches, but everything is double the price you would pay at a nice restaurant/pizzeria in San Teodoro. The hotel should look to provide a more competitively priced restaurant/food service (alongside Gusto fine dining option) providing authentic Italian/Sardinian food which would keep more people eating and drinking at the hotel, and generate further revenue, but prices push a lot away. I would advise checking your bill statement each morning. On 3 occasions over a week, I found items (drinks, food, room service) belonging to other guests on our room tab. These were confirmed and correctly removed following discussion but inconsistent signature process when ordering food and drinks, and having to check each morning dampened the experience. In peak summer at capacity, there could be a scramble for loungers as only 10-12 available. Pool bar staff provide great service for eating and drinking around the pool but €30 euro for sandwiches and €10 for beer (€20 for gin, €8 for coke) can add up quickly.

Beautiful hotel in a secluded area of Lu Impostu. Nice room, but not 5 star. Pool bar area and terrace lovely, alongside the pool and the loungers surrounding - all with amazing views to the beach. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options, and lovely food. Rooms immaculately cleaned, sometimes 2-3 times a day, and all staff very friendly and accommodating, with a special mention to the pool bar lads.

the bridge from the hotel to the seaside was not constructed yet. a shuttle brought us to see and back. it works but took some planning. Indeed, direct and independent access via a bridge would be a big plus. Also, the friends i was traveling with were unfortunate with some of the managers of the estate who wanted to charge them almost 80 euros for 2 continental breakfasts in their room. they had to negotiate with customer relationship manager not to pay such a high price.
