Marco and Alexandra were so warm and welcoming. The daily breakfast was fresh and delicious and the setting is very serene. The day we were supposed to depart, there was a train strike but we didn’t know if our particular train was affected until day of. We had to go the train station to “wait and see.” Marco was very helpful in alleviating our concern about returning if there was no transportation. We feel as though we have new “ Venetian” friends.

Great home stay styled B&B. Although a home stay style there is a separate entrance, so you're not mingling with the hosts. The breakfast out on the terrace is a great way to start the day. The location is quiet and out of the busy tourist areas. The hosts are very accommodating and even provide a list of recommended 'locals' restaurants.

Not a problem for us, but guests need to be aware that there are no cooking facilities in the small "kitchen".

Hosts were friendly and very helpful, with good communicaton. Breakfast was included in the cost and was delightful, especially when we could eat out on the terrace. The location is very good, close to a canal, and good restaurants/cafes. Also the apartment is set back from the footpath/canal so is quiet.

Hosts brilliant and had a few good chats. Really useful from Marco we received a list and location of restaurants recommended for good quality rather than the tourist traps! Great location away from the main areas ! Great memory foam pillows. Seems like a small thing but definitely improved our sleep! Breakfast was lovely and served on the terrace if it hasn’t rained.

Not much we didn't like. Like a lot of places in Venice, there are issues with utility infrastructure so you might need to juggle what appliances you run concurrently to avoid tripping the power. For us, we tried to not run the water heater when we had the AC on. But otherwise the AC was great and a lifesaver.

For Venice, this is a great property and value. The owners are very nice and are sharing their great home with guests (though your room is private - you just need to enter their living area for breakfast, but the breakfast location as other reviewers mention is very nice overlooking a garden area).

Casa Baseggio was the ideal base for a stay in Venice. Located in Canareggio, it is away from the crazy tourist scrum yet close to vaporetto stops to take you wherever you might want to go. Marco is a gracious host. The B&B overlooks a beautiful garden, a precious green space in crowded, built-up Venice.

This is a small but very comfortable B&B. If you want to experience what it is like to live in a neighborhood in Venice vs staying in a large hotel (where sometimes, you could be anywhere) and you really just need bed and breakfast, then this is a great experience and great value. Maybe a bit off the tourist route, although very easy to get back to the madness when you want to, but a great location to see local people, life, restaurants., etc Marco was very amicable, informative and helpful...a great host.

The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The location was great, away from crowds and noise and very close to restaurants and a supermarket (Prix).

The B&B was peaceful and delightful. The location was very convenient for getting to and from airport via water bus and popular tourist sites. Marco gave me info on the transportation, especially for my early departure at 4am. The room had nice views and touches. It was bigger than I expected for a historic city. Marco also gave great food recommendations, some that were just a couple minutes away. Breakfast was great for fueling up for most of the day. Checking in and out was a breeze. Marco communicated via WhatsApp and answered any concerns I had in a reasonable amount of time. I will be returning with my family.

I would not complain about anything. Venice is not a cheap city to visit so I felt it represented good value for what it offered, and would definitely recommend it.

A light and airy room in a lovely location with friendly, kind and helpful owners. I'm sure lots of people mention the breakfasts but what a great way to start the day! The lovely hosts made a magical visit just that little more special. There were good places to eat close by and the neighborhood was beautiful.

A really great stay for our first time in Venice! Location was perfect - easy to find and further enough away from the really busy spots. Marco was warm and friendly - taking us through the room, breakfast in the morning and heaps of recommendations for exploring the area. He mentioned Vino Vero which isn’t far from the accommodation - we went back twice for the good wine and cicchetti. The breakfast was such a lovely way to start the morning and also chat with other travellers enjoying the B&B. We had to leave early on our check out morning to get a train, but Marco thoughtfully popped some breakfast items in our room to have before we left. Would love to come back and stay again!
