Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesMaybe it is far for some people? It was around 20 minute walk to galleria academia (where Michelangelo's David is), but the walk was never uphill or difficult to manage. Also restaurants over in this area seemed to close earlier, but perhaps that is due to August being a big holiday month for Italians, I am not sure.
I mostly liked how comfortable the bed was. I would get home, shower, and instantly pass out on the bed with no struggle. The air conditioner also worked very well and cooled the room almost instantly, in fact the room stayed cool throughout the day when we came back!

PortugalI wish they offered conditioner and shampoo separately from shower gel in the bathroom. We also missed a bit more storage in the room (maybe an extra cabinet to put our clothes?).
The accommodation was incredible, the room was very nice and comfortable and I really appreciated that we had a desk and a mirror with light to get ready! The bed was huge and the room was well isolated, so we rarely heard other guests. The bathrooms were enough for the number of guests so we never had to wait to use them, they were also generally clean. The neighborhood was really nice and we always felt safe walking around even at night (the bus stop is super close as well!).

Domus 19 is located in a quiet street yet very close to the center. The pension is super easy to find and I paid only 14€ taxi from Santa Maria Novella train station. Raimondo is one of the greatest host I have encountered: he anticipated my arrival, made everything easy for me from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. He’s very efficient. Domus 19 itself: very spacious bedroom, very confortable bed, super clean bathroom. I enjoyed the rooftop terrace, so quiet and peaceful with a lot of plants. When I left, I had to left my luggages, Raimondo was very convenient, it’s totally safe! As I’m settling to Firenze permanently, Domus19 will be my first recommendation for my friends visiting.
