Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe sofa bed was more suitable for 2 children, my friend sleeping on the pull out bed found it uncomfortable, a fold out settee to make a double bed would have been much better. The position was a good forty minute walk to either Bardolino or Garda, and it took us a few days before we found the road leading from the main road to the lakeside walkway leading to Garda. Taxis were also expensive! The main downside was the lack of a decent shop ! The nearest supermarket was about 2 miles away, ok if you’ve come in a car ! We only needed basics as we ate out all the time .We then found the campsite across the road sold basics, like milk for morning tea or coffee (luckily we had brought our own )
The outside space and the views from our apartment were fantastic, quiet and peaceful. The pool and area around it was lovely with plenty of sun beds. The restaurant was very good , did a basic breakfast ,had a great choice for evening meals .

New ZealandThe walk up the hill from the town on the narrow road was a bit difficult with children and in the heat.
The rooms were a good size (particularly for a family). The view was amazing and the pool facilities were great.

United KingdomThere were minor inconveniences due to the old plugs and some of them were not working and there was only one outlet in the room, so imagine a family of three and all needing to charge their phones, but as I told, it was only a minor inconvenience and the lake view compensated it a 100%
We had the apartment with the lake view. To be honest, we needed nothing else but having breakfast and watching boats on the lake or having a glass of wine in the evening and watching the sunset.

OmanThe walk up to the ca Mure was longer than expected - but it was made clear that there was a walk, so its not a complaint.
Pool area and restaurant - very well maintained, and the staff at reception and restaurant were excellent.

United KingdomNothing! Other more negative reviews mention the steep walk up the hill (it’s on a hillside, but the views are spectacular because of it!), the long walk to Bardolino (20 mins, counterbalances the additional food and drink you’ll enjoy) and the fact it isn’t a 4 star hotel (no it isn’t, it’s a fantastic resort with lots of choice of accommodation which is very accurately described on the website!). Absolutely no complaints from us about anything.
Loved the views, the pool, the restaurant, the well maintained and spotless site and accommodation and the extremely accommodating and friendly staff. Our second visit and even better than last time.

United KingdomWe didn’t cook in the apartment but there are only two rings in the kitchen which might be difficult for some if self catering. As stated in previous reviews there is no shop and the restaurant closes on Tuesday which is worth noting. We didn’t find the walk into town too strenuous but if you have small kids or reduced mobility the climb up the hill would be problematic.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The pool area was fabulous and not too cold as stated in some reviews, although the weather was very hot. Our apartment was very comfortable and clean with a balcony overlooking the lake.

United KingdomNothing major really, just information. About 30 mins walk from Bardolino and roughly same to Garda which we knew, but it was a struggle after a few days. Buses were not very reliable so not really an option. uphill climb to apartment from main road. Can get a taxi or bike. More mirrors and a coffee table would be a nice addition. outside table a bit worn and water temp in shower difficult to regulate at times.
Lovely 2 bed apartment with amazing views. felt like no one else had been in it since refurbishment. Well equipped. Nice pool area. Beautiful area for a nice relaxing break. Not dated at all as in some other reviews. Nice gentleman on reception.

IsraelReception is only open 9-12 and 15-19 which isn't good anyone who goes out on day trips. No coffee, tea, sugar or water supplied in the room. Soap and shampoo supplied in small quantities and not replaced unless requested from reception. Similarly, bed sheets and towels aren't replaced daily - all room maintenance during the stay is done by the visitor. Electrical outlets inconveniently placed close to the floor far away from beds and tables.
Good locaion on lake Garda, within short driving distance from major attractions such as Gardaland, Sirmione, Monte Baldo and Lazise. Nice swimming pool and restaurant, with nice views of the lake. Friendly staff. Spacious apartment with good kitchen facilities.

United KingdomRoom decor was a little dated and the property is a bit of a walk to the town(or any shop). 20/25 minutes walk down hill which is fine but coming back up at night I would say you need to take a taxi or drive.
Large room with a great outdoor space. Views from the property are lovely as it is a bit up the hill. Pool is lovely and the on-site restaurant is amazing!
