Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

United StatesThe property itself was great. Very nice 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom recently updated apartment with everything you could need for your stay. The host, Marco, was easily the best host you will find in the world. Marco arrived to show us around the apartment and make sure we had everything we needed. He, was super responsive to inquiries before and during our stay and even made suggestions for our time in Venice - what to do, where to eat, and what to avoid. Recommend this property and this host.

The apartment is very spacious, nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need. The host left butter and jam in the fridge for breakfast, along with coffee, tea and hot chocolate and toast. Marco is a very kind host and responded to all requests, no matter the time and gave us tips for a pleasant stay.

United StatesMarco went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even meeting us at the Vaporetto, helping us with bags and showing us around the neighborhood! The apartment is comfortable, modern and well-equipped, despite being in a historic building. The location is perfect: 10 min walk to St. Mark's Square, yet quiet and virtually tourist-free.

CanadaIt rained part of the time while we were there, and the sound of the rain on the Ensuite roof was too loud for my husband. Some people may not have had an issue with this.
Our host Marcus was wonderful and helpful, and the apartment spacious and well-suited to our needs. we appreciated the hints of the host, a long-term local, about stores and restaurants nearby. The apartment was recently renovated, and care and thought we’re clearly put into the renovations - really a gem. Would stay here again.

Marco was an exceptional host who really cares about his property and his guests. Perfect quiet location but very close to all the sites. Short walk to St Marks Square. Very clean well equipped apartment with a supermarket a few yards away. Marco met us at the Alilaguna stop and took us to the apartment he was very informative and gave lots of tips on where to eat. Great apartament in Castello district - away from crowded areas but not too far from main attractions. Lots of locals nearby and that is a good thing! Perfect for a family, with kitchen and two sepatate bedrooms. The host Marco is really helpful and clearly cares about his guests. I would surely recommended this place to my friends.

Spacious apt with everything you need in a quiet, authentic Venetian neighborhood. Well equipped kitchen including coffee, tea, olive oil, etc. Nice bathrooms with great showers. The best part is Marco, the host - a Venetian native with lots of tips to make your stay enjoyable. Responds very quickly and makes tremendous efforts to accommodate his guests. A little tricky to navigate at first, but Marco met us at the ferry and showed us the way. Truly a gem.

First time in Venice during the carnival and we couldn’t make a better choice for the apartment. Massimo and Marco (also Manuela!) were really nice and approachable, it was a little bit difficult to find the property but Massimo came to pick us up and walked us to the property. Besides they suggested an amazing trattoria that we really enjoyed!!! So I really recommend to follow their suggestions 😃. The property was big, refurbished and clean. Both bedrooms are big enough to be comfortable and cozy. The property has a wash machine, a dishwasher, a hairdryer & hair straighteners. Besides there is a supermarket just in the corner - 3 mins away, with all you could need. Very well located in a very calm and nice area, close to the main spots but not crowded so you can avoid tourist groups.
