Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesReally nothing. We just stayed for a night. I guess it is a very popular property, and so we could not find it during our return to Milan. We had to stay at another place which just did not compare to this.
Everything, and I don't say this often! This place is truly a hidden gem right in the heart of Milan. If you see it available, Book it Now! - The location is literally the building next to the church where the Last supper is. Very cozy place, super quiet and yet walkable to everything. - The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was in touch with them both through messages and emails, and they gave is detailed instructions regarding parking, driving directions from airport, how to avoid ZTL areas and times. - We arrived super early in the morning. We were hoping to just drop the luggage and go explore, but they luckily had a room just open up and they were kind to let us check in as early as 930am. This was we could relax a bit after a long flight and go explore. - Staff gave amazing recommendations for places to eat, and where NOT to eat to avoid tourist traps. - The Breakfast. You should probably stay here just for the amazing breakfast in the morning. That's all I will say about it.

United StatesWe loved the convenient location! A short walk (10 or so minutes?) to the train station, only a few minutes to see Leonardo’s Last Supper, a half hour walk to the Milan Cathedral and impressive Galleria, the most beautiful mall I’ve ever seen! This is a lovely boutique property and the people who work there are so gracious! We had a garden view and loved our room!

United KingdomLots of keys, lots of doors when travelling alone with luggage. And the room shook and was noisy when the trams passed….although I got used to it and actually started to find it soothing.
Great location. Comfortable beds, nice dark room, and enjoyable breakfast.

United KingdomA minor issue was that it was not easy to find the hotel as the entrance is via a large bolted door on the street, with a bell to ring to gain access to the hotel. The taxi had to double park so as to allow us to unload our luggage. The hotel reception was a little difficult to locate as it was off a quaint inner courtyard. The bathroom could do with some updating.
We had a lovely large bedroom off a courtyard which had vintage vibes in terms of décor. The bathroom was quite spacious. Breakfast was fine with plenty of cereals, fruits and breads as well as eggs, bacon and sausages. The coffee was great. The hotel staff are all very helpful. The hotel is located in a business district but next door to an excellent restaurant and only a few minutes walking distance to the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. This is where The Last Supper, a mural painting by the artist Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1495–1498 is located. The Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci is also a short walk away. There were lots of other churches to explore on foot. A Tram stop is well located near the hotel entrance.

United KingdomThe hotel is within a courtyard but some of the rooms are entered from the other side of the courtyard. I found this a little disorientating. The arrangements of the single room also made the space feel narrow and a bit boxed in.
I like to stay at this hotel because it's in a more peaceful and attractive part of the city, but with convenient transport links. The staff are helpful, though more formal than I encountered in other places, and there is a good breakfast.
