Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Villa Mazzi is stunning and we only wished we could have longer! Our apartment was gorgeous and well equipped, and we were very comfortable during our stay. Loredana and Martina are exceptional hosts - so warm, friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they made excellent recommendations to us. There is a pecorino farm just down the road that we walked to, where we had the most beautiful gourmet picnic. It provides everything you need. Villa Mazzi was the perfect base for touring around Val d’Orcia, one of the most beautiful places on earth. We loved returning to our apartment after a day of exploring. We highly recommend it to anyone and we hope to return someday!

United KingdomLoredana the owner is really welcoming and gave some great tips on the local area, and where to eat in Montepulciano as well. You are a 5 minute drive from Montepulciano, car is necessary here. We stayed in one of the apartments, well equipped with everything you could need. The apartment was spotless, quiet and had Aircon if required. The view from the shared garden over Montepulciano is worth the stay alone, we wiish we could have stayed longer!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Excellent location with stunning view of Montepulciano, close to the main road making it easy access to come and go…only 5 minutes from the town. Our stay was so peaceful. Gorgeous property. Very clean. Loredana and Martina were very welcoming and helpful. You have to try their honey, jams, and olive oil. We bought more to take home. We will definitely be back. It was a dream!

United StatesWe absolutely loved our stay at Agriturismo Villa Mazzi in Montepulciano. Loredana and her daughter, Martina couldn't have been more gracious hosts. We made a last minute decision to spend the December holidays in Tuscany, and Agriturismo Villa Mazzi was the perfect choice to spend five amazing days. We loved the views, the charming room, the quiet, the fireplace, the subtle but tasteful holiday decor, and simply everything. Loredana also shared restaurant recommendations. BOSCARELLI IN CITTÀ was amazing and one of the best meals of our entire trip. Agriturismo Villa Mazzi was a highlight of our 5 week journey and we cannot wait to return. Grazie Mille Loredana e Martina!

We loved the setting and the apartment, which was spotless and came very well equiped (we even had mocha coffee and a percolator à la Italienne). The views of Montepulciano across the valley were stunning. Our host was exceptionally kind and attentive. Try her homemade jams, you will not be disappointed! We also purchased her honey, olive oil, and local wine. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area.

GreeceThat it didn't have breakfast (we already knew but still it would be a great add). Some insects in the house. No heating (mid October) we were cold in the nights but we didn't ask for something, maybe our fault.
The atmosphere, the views, the hosts are very polite, the apartment is great and spacious, the patio is nice, it was really quiet and close to both Pienza and Montepulciano, we visited also Montalcino and Cortona, is very doable distance. True experience of an agriturismo. The host was so helpful with everything that we needed!

United StatesWe booked the Loggia apartment which offers two bedrooms/two baths. There is large living room and dining area and the kitchen is well stocked with a full refrigerator, stove and oven as well as cooking pots/pans , utensils and plates. There is also a nice little porch that looks out over the Tuscan countryside and up to the walled town of Montepulciano. The property is includes an olive grove and fruit trees. The owner is a lovely and gracious hostess. You can buy Olive oil from their harvest and some jellies made from the fruit trees on the property. With their help we shipped our purchase home. Given the beauty of the location we decided to go to the grocery store and buy the food for our stay. This allowed us to have a nice long happy hour on our porch and watch the lights come up on the town of Montepulciano. We cooked lovely simple dinners and breakfasts during our visit and enjoyed the beauty of the location. There are lounge chairs and an outdoor table for all the guests to share and enjoy. The bonus was that for a few euros we were able to get our laundry done which was perfect because this was mid-trip and we were traveling with only carry on. The location is perfect for doing day trips into the Tuscan countryside. We stayed for three nights but I wish it was longer.

CanadaFantastic location- beautiful view of Montepulciano which was accessible by car in under 10 minutes. This is a great base for heading off towards the various wineries and towns within Tuscany. Lordena has put in so much care and attention to the property- the exterior grounds and apartments were immaculately maintained. Wish we could stay longer, will definitely be back.

CanadaExceptionally peaceful property with great view across fields to Montepulciano. Only a few minutes drive to lovely hill towns for sightseeing and hiking the surrounding countryside . Our hosts, Loredana and her daughter Martina were so helpful with excellent suggestions for restaurants, olive oil and pecorino farms to visit, etc. Our 1 bedroom apartment was immaculate and very comfortable with a private patio. The hosts had some local wine, olive oil, and delicious fruit jam for sale, among other products, which were all wonderful. The property was so peaceful that we spent a number of evenings just gazing at the views with a nice glass of wine and cheese during our 6-day stay. Highly recommend.
