Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom decor is a little retro and could do with a refresh.
We had a wonderful stay at this quiet and relaxing property. The homemade breakfast was excellent, and I'd recommend staying in one night for a very generously sized and delicious home-cooked dinner, along with some wine from the vineyards. The view and location is great, providing views out over the vines and of Mount Etna.

United StatesThe towels were old and tattered. Not enough power points in the room. The table lamp was not plugged in. We had to call for Robert who had to move the wardrobe so that he can plus in the table lamp to a socket behind the wardrobe.
It’s quiet with view of Mount Etna. Food by Chef Carmela is good but €40 for a set meal excluding wine in Linguaglossa is on the steep side.

RomaniaIt was a bit pricy, we didn t get any discount for the wines we bought there The room we got had very small windows and was definetely not one of the good rooms.
Lovely location surrounded by vineyards, it is a perfect location for relaxing for a couple of days and discover the nice wines from the area. Good breakfast, large swimming pool Hosts were helpful and friendly.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by our host Robert. He showed us our rooms and during our stay helped us with various items (i.e making reservations in local restaurants). The room was quite spacious and really clean (we received fresh towels every day). The swimming pool was well maintained. To summarize, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the agriturismo to everyone.

MaltaWell kept, pet friendly Agriturismo and winery just at the foot of mount Etna and close to the nice village of Linguaglossa. During our 6 day stay everything was perfect from the tranquility of the place, to the scenery, comfortable rooms and outstanding breakfast. Our host Ms Luisa was kind enough to be always ready to assist us in our requirements. The Restaurant which is really nice, was open on request with delicious food even though very limited in selection.... WiFi connection even though, for us wasn't a real necessity in such a place, was only available in common areas, not in the rooms. We also enjoyed our wine tasting experience and very informative tour of their wine making facility. Will definitely visit again!! Thank you Ms Luisa, Ms Carmela and Guido!

FinlandBreakfast was really simple. On-site personnel did not speak English. The location is best accessed by car, walking from Linguaglossa was possible, but not safe due the curvy roads and the local driving culture.
A calm countryside accommodation at the Scilio wineyard. Relatively near to Linguaglossa and Etna Nord visitor center. Possibility to have lunch and dinner at the site by request, food was tasty, serving their own wines. Our room had a balcony with a view to Etna and sea (on a clear day). The room had A/C with heating and a fridge. There was also a swimming pool cleaned up daily.

United StatesMy husband discovered that he doesn't like the local sausage.
The Linguaglossa location [just outside of town and with easy / secure parking] is perfect for winery visits or hiking in Etna nord or the Alcantara Gorge and is a short drive either to Randazzo or to Taormina and the coast. The buildings and the owner are part of Etna wine-making history. The rooms are decidedly nicer than the pictures show and the dining room is lovely. Guido is an enthusiastic host for a wine tasting and vineyard tour. Excellent Etna wines! Breakfasts were tasty and seasoned with pleasant conversation with a staff member who loves his Etna home.

MaltaThere was just one dislike but significant. For us "Agriturismo" implies self-catering facilities and both the resort and Booking. com need to define these terms better. There were none and initially not even a kettle with teas and coffees were provided but this was rectified. This excellent winery is in a remote location and during the period of our stay the restaurant was not always open nor is there a 24x 7reception so Giving the patrons a self-catering options AND introducing them to the amazing local agricultural produce and even food preparation classes that would complement the wine tasting should be what agriturismo is all about and make the stay more enjoyable., l I recommend they explore this further.
Staff, environment and location are excellent (with a car there are many attractions (gastronomic, adventure, theme and natural parks, wine tasting, Mount Etna, Taormina, Alcantara etc etc ) within 30 minutes to2 hours travel time ) . Views are outstanding and in a peaceful area. Great for kids. Ample parking and The accommodation was fine IF you just wanted a B & B after wine tasting for a 1/ 2 night stay - however, expectations were for more self-catering facilities in the room/apartment given its "agriturismo" and we were there for a week - see below. That apart, the management and staff especially Luisa, Guido, Toni and Francesco were superb ensuring a nice "meet and greet " (we arrived at night and they laid out some cold food platters for us) and they did seem to listen to our suggestions and did what they could to make it a pleasant stay from providing a kettle , hose pipe for washing down car after sandy scirocco winds, excellent wine tasting and tour and advice on locations to visit. Guido even lent us a guitar.
