Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe only suggestion I have is to clarify parking with check-in instructions. We saw no 25EUR parking area for the apartment as is described in the Booking.com description. There were P zone parking spaces across the street so we used those. We couldn't read the instructions written in Icelandic and didn't see an English language conversion so we asked a nice lady that was walking by and she helped us learn how to use the parking boxes. Small inconvenience for such a nice apartment. :)
Lovely! Very roomy apartment for 5 of us, yet felt welcoming and cozy. Would've enjoyed staying longer. It was our first night in Iceland so we were too tired by the time we got there to walk around the area but there seemed to be a lot nearby. Very clean and nice.

PolandAdvertised as 3 bedroom apartment, it's actually a 2 bedroom and a salon with foldable sofa. If you travel more than 3 people, or for some reason you can't share a bed with someone, you'll have to sleep on the couch. The kitchen is open to salon, so there's no privacy. Also, the drain in bathtub was a little clogged.
Great localisation, close to city center, most of city highlights and old harbor with its shore. The apartament is well equipped, with all you need, including tea, coffee and welcome snack + beverage for guests. There's even a cabin with stuff left by other guests, such as salt or sugar, so you don't have to buy it yourself and waste.

Easy checkin/checkout. Easy to find paid street parking nearby. Location is excellent. Everything is either within walking distance or near a bus stop. Spacious and bright apartment. Everything was clean. It had all of the necessary appliances. Beds were comfortable. It was warm and spacious.

Spacious! Excellent for big groups. We fit well into the 3 bedroom apartment, 1 full bathroom . We all slept in beds, not sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen( we didn’t use it due to short stay) cleaning personal very attentive and carried our luggage upstairs.Highly recommend this place! Just need an extra bathroom to be perfect!

IrelandA little noisy at night from the apartment below. Was VERY warm and hard to control the heating. Few of the light bulbs and plug sockets not working.
Great location, easy to find parking. Lots of essentials in the cupboard, coffee machine stocked with pods was great! Lots of room in the apartment, perfect for a small family. The information folder left on the table was very helpful, found lots of things in reykjavík we hadn't heard of.
