The bathroom was a bit outdated, not in line with the rest of the hotel. Everything else was excellent.

A beautiful design hotel with great scenary from the windows. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, we learned a lot about the hotel and the church from a girl from Poland. Nice hot tubs. The restaurant also looked very good, it's a shame we didn't have time to dine there.

Way too expensive for what it is. Not even scrambled eggs or fried eggs for breakfast. Looks all a bit dated. Bathrooms are not in line with rest of property. Staff was super friendly

Staff not around in the evenings. Our window wouldn’t shut on a stormy night and it was windy and loud because the blind, which is necessary in summer wouldn’t stay down. There were no staff onsite at the time and nobody replied to my email which was disappointing.

Very cosy, allbeit simple, rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff, decent beer and a sufficient breakfast. Location is remote, but within reasonable distance of a lot of sights to see. All in all a recommendation !

The hotel is built in a rather complex way so getting to the room from the parking lot was a bit challenging, but the staff is there and very helpful

As part of the golden circle area, this hotel is located in a good location for finishing or starting your tour. The staff was very nice and very welcoming

The shower facility was not ideal.

The location was extraordinarily beautiful. In addition, the hotel was located adjacent to a historic church and an archaeological site. It was absolutely beautiful and so easy to take advantage of visiting this incredible site.

Lovely location! Skalholt is rural and gorgeous, in between farm land, beautiful scenery and the golden circle. We got a great deal for a last minute stay at the hotel and enjoyed watching the sunset over the church when we arrived. Our room didn't have a fridge so we were very grateful when the kind hostess lent us a mini one for our room. The room was comfortable, warm and had excellent block out blinds Sunrise the following morning when we left the hotel was a bonus, everything looked beautiful.

it’s what I expected but rooms are small and accomodation is like a 5 star hostel but just what I liked about it … came from a 5 star hotel the day before to this and loved it just as much ! so friendly and welcoming and nice to meet other travellers . A perfect stop when doing the golden circle .

The main thing we couldn't get used to was the high sulphur in the water. Not what you want to smell like after a shower. The Organist house also has a bathroom that is effectively a sauna, and it's a little noisy.

Loved the extra space in the cute house as well as the hot tub. Location is close enough to the sites. Food is really good.

Breakfast was good. Very clean hotel with fab staff. Well located for Zurich, the rivers, bars etc , train station.....no need for a car. We were at a 2 day wedding party so spent little time in it. Would highly recommend.

The shower - super clean and awesome looking, but water got everywhere.

We really liked location, comfort, cleanliness, friendly staff, and the overall experience. Breakfast was good. Sparse for the size of the hotel, but something for everyone in our group. Really wish they had bread rolls though and individual butter cups rather than one big tub that every guest took their butter from. (More eco-friendly, but not hygenic)
