nothing, it was a terrific stay

one of the most personable check-ins, came out to greet, got the key out from lockbox, brief tour, some homemade sweets. could very easily have made it just a lockbox thing, but i appreciated the extra mile. also loved that it wasn't blasting hot in there, could easily adjust the temperature with different heaters. location (laugur) is probably hopping during peak august, with a pool, trampoline, restaurant/store/gas all available. and there was not a bug in sight; i don't know how they did it, but that's rare sometimes, especially so close to myvatn.

there is not much in the immediate vicinity. But everything is within driving distance, shops, restaurants and tourist attractions

Small garden cottage for two with everything you need, kitchenette, smaller living room, bedroom and bathroom. There is a hob, hot air fryer, electric kettle. Some food, cornflakes, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. are available. I appreciate the possibility of double darkening in the bedroom (it solves problems when the midnight sun shines outside, usually in the summer months in Iceland)

Situated in a peaceful location outside the village of Laugar. It is a self contained lodge at the rear of the owner's house. It is on the edge of a field, with views from the veranda. Well equipped with outside seating under cover. Able to watch the local bird life feeding in the field whilst having refreshments outside ine evening.

We liked everything about it.

We’ve stayed at many small cabins around Iceland and this one exceeded our expectations. It’s very clean, well appointed, and cozy. The owners have taken care to attend to the small details. We visited in early October and the cabin was warm and well insulated. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The cabin is behind the owners house but is very private and has a nice view of the surrounding area.

This little house has everything we needed. Perfect and comfy! The owners of the house were delightful. The house was clean and warm. Extra towels, hair dryer, kitchen equipped with pots, nothing was missing. It was great!

One of the best accommodations we had on Iceland. Everything was perfect, nice hosts who baked homemade treats for us. The house was the biggest one we had all of the time on our Iceland vacation. Totally recommend this place for accommodation 11/10.

There was only one tiny thing: not much space in the shower cubicle - bathroom was spacious, though.

This is s place where you could actually live. Spacious, very well equipped. Exceeds the description on Booking by a lot - kitchen has everything you might need, even coffee, muesli, salt… Very comfortable beds. Very friendly welcome by our host - there were even small home-baked cakes to welcome us.

Everything was even more than perfect - a very friendly greeting from the owner, amazing design, clean and comfy beds, fresh towels, fully equipped kitchen and a wonderful terrace, where we enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. Very comfortable and clean cottage, close to all places of interest in the Myvatn area. Just name it and you can get there within an hours drive. We spent 4 nights and appreciated the space, the well fitted kitchen where we cooked a couple of meals ourselves, the deck with a roof where we could sit in the sun and dry clothes after a hike in the rain! The bed was awesome! Best we ever slept in over 2 weeks we’ve been traveling around in Iceland. The bedroom also has double curtains so were not at all bothered by the light. And the hosts are lovely! With all the self check-in places we could really appreciate meeting the hosts and having a chat!
