Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceAmazing location and a really cute farmhouse! Friendly hosts and a generally nice environment to be in. The place was clean with decent cooking facilities available as there is nothing close by to get food. Would highly recommend!

SlovakiaNothing, everything was perfect.
Everyone should experience such accommodation in Iceland at least once. The atmosphere on the farm, sheep, dog, cat, horses, we were like in paradise. If you have time, definitely stay here for at least two nights. We spent only one night here and were sorry to leave so quickly. We even bought handmade knitted hats as a memory of this beautiful place. The accommodation has a shared kitchen, shower and toilet, but we didn't mind at all, everyone was very nice. The road was about 20 km on a gravel road following a turn off the main road, but it was easily passable and worth it to come to this beautiful farm.

GermanyThe gravel road to get there is very bumpy and an adventure on its own with a smaller rental car. But I knew that before and it was well worth it.
It is a beautiful remote place! The horseriding was a lot of fun. You could see seals and also very friendly sheep on the way to Husey. The kitchen was well equipped and it is just a nice place to meet people. Also there are plenty of bathrooms for everyone. We regretted that we only stayed one night and hope to come back one day.

United StatesVery clean and cozy. The old farm house is well kept and the staff were very friendly. We arrived in bad weather and weren’t able to do the 2 hour horseback tour with sight seeing. However with fingers crossed for better weather we managed to get rebooked the next morning! The tour was amazing, and both tour guides and Icelandic horses were great!

United StatesIt's a small two-story house with the rooms close together so you easily can hear the people next to you. Also, the shower in the upstairs room did not have good pressure.
Husey Hostel is off the beaten path and had a communal vibe. Guests enjoyed making meals in the well stocked kitchen and the property was remote and beautiful.

FinlandTo get to the farm you need to drive 40-50 min on gravel road which was very painful with a small car.
The room and the common areas were amazing, beds comfortable with a nice view. Easy to find as well. We liked the owners' dedication to be eco-friendly.

TurkeyIt’s an isolated farm, you ll have to drive 30k on gravel out of the ring road. But still beautiful. Please watch the weather reports, if it’s stormy or snowy don’t go you r gonna have difficulty on the road and won’t be able to enjoy the beautiful nature. Staff and people are great though

United StatesLOVED EVERY MINUTE OF BEING ON THIS BEAUTIFUL HORSE RANCH...NEXT TIME, I AM GOING TO STAY OUT THERE FOR SEVERAL DAYS. IT IS A VERY REMOTE AREA, OFF THE BEATEN PATH WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND BEAUTIFUL HORSES, SO RELAXING. The staff is absolutely amazing. We loved the owner's aunt, who was extremely hospitable. The two young ladies who took us out on our horse ride were excellent. They made sure our experience was safe, yet unforgettable! LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE!

United StatesWe absolutely loved our stay at the Husey Hostel. The place is charming and our rooms were very comfortable and big. We met people from all over the world in the common areas. The staff was incredibly kind as well. Our daughter forgot her very dear doll in the bed and Elisabet and Laufey were kind enough to ship it all the way back to us. We were also able to visit the Puffin colony about an hour away from the hostel. Overall a wonderful experience.

GermanyThe horsefarm is literally located in the middle of nowhere and it’s an amazing experience driving through the herd of horses which are super curious and nice. The house is well-equipped and the host is super helpful and friendly. When we were there, there were only ours and one more room taken and we had plenty of space, I’m not sure what it’s like when all the rooms are occupied, but for us it was perfect.
