It’s a hostel at the end of a hour-long gravel road, come with your own food and good tires.

Beautiful site, wonderful horse back riding experience, friendly staff, opportunity to meet interesting people who come here year after year

Amazing location and a really cute farmhouse! Friendly hosts and a generally nice environment to be in. The place was clean with decent cooking facilities available as there is nothing close by to get food. Would highly recommend!

    Nothing, everything was perfect.

Everyone should experience such accommodation in Iceland at least once. The atmosphere on the farm, sheep, dog, cat, horses, we were like in paradise. If you have time, definitely stay here for at least two nights. We spent only one night here and were sorry to leave so quickly. We even bought handmade knitted hats as a memory of this beautiful place. The accommodation has a shared kitchen, shower and toilet, but we didn't mind at all, everyone was very nice. The road was about 20 km on a gravel road following a turn off the main road, but it was easily passable and worth it to come to this beautiful farm.

The gravel road to get there is very bumpy and an adventure on its own with a smaller rental car. But I knew that before and it was well worth it.

It is a beautiful remote place! The horseriding was a lot of fun. You could see seals and also very friendly sheep on the way to Husey. The kitchen was well equipped and it is just a nice place to meet people. Also there are plenty of bathrooms for everyone. We regretted that we only stayed one night and hope to come back one day.

Very clean and cozy. The old farm house is well kept and the staff were very friendly. We arrived in bad weather and weren’t able to do the 2 hour horseback tour with sight seeing. However with fingers crossed for better weather we managed to get rebooked the next morning! The tour was amazing, and both tour guides and Icelandic horses were great!

It's a small two-story house with the rooms close together so you easily can hear the people next to you. Also, the shower in the upstairs room did not have good pressure.

Husey Hostel is off the beaten path and had a communal vibe. Guests enjoyed making meals in the well stocked kitchen and the property was remote and beautiful.

To get to the farm you need to drive 40-50 min on gravel road which was very painful with a small car.

The room and the common areas were amazing, beds comfortable with a nice view. Easy to find as well. We liked the owners' dedication to be eco-friendly.

It’s an isolated farm, you ll have to drive 30k on gravel out of the ring road. But still beautiful. Please watch the weather reports, if it’s stormy or snowy don’t go you r gonna have difficulty on the road and won’t be able to enjoy the beautiful nature. Staff and people are great though

    A little shabby

If you want to switch off from the urban life - that's the best place to do. Everything is rural and gives you a feeling you came to your grandma 😊 The kitchen has a nice observation view 🪟

    Be informed about krias!

We really enjoyed the location of this accomandation, situated in the middle of nowhere with fairytale surrounding, awesome icelandic horses, cute sheeps and friendly dog Aska. It was great place to relax, to connect with nature and to forget about everything from outside world. There is comfortable winter garden with sofas, tables - so you can enjoy your meal with fairytale views, and also you find usefull information about sureounding in the book there. The accomandation is focused on nature, eco hostel and was separating. You can buy homemade, local products - rhubarb juice, rhubarb jam, eggs.

LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF BEING ON THIS BEAUTIFUL HORSE RANCH...NEXT TIME, I AM GOING TO STAY OUT THERE FOR SEVERAL DAYS. IT IS A VERY REMOTE AREA, OFF THE BEATEN PATH WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS AND BEAUTIFUL HORSES, SO RELAXING. The staff is absolutely amazing. We loved the owner's aunt, who was extremely hospitable. The two young ladies who took us out on our horse ride were excellent. They made sure our experience was safe, yet unforgettable! LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE!

Takes some time to get there - but I would say that this can be considered as a benefit as well, since one has a lot of peace and quiet there.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Husey Hostel. The place is charming and our rooms were very comfortable and big. We met people from all over the world in the common areas. The staff was incredibly kind as well. Our daughter forgot her very dear doll in the bed and Elisabet and Laufey were kind enough to ship it all the way back to us. We were also able to visit the Puffin colony about an hour away from the hostel. Overall a wonderful experience.

The furniture is a bit obsolete, but very good, family atmosphere.

A farm at the end of the world. In a positive meaning. Horses, seals(!), cats, plenty of birds; like in a natural park. Fully equipped kitchen, excellent sunny dining room with sofas. Very nice farmer family ownership.

The horsefarm is literally located in the middle of nowhere and it’s an amazing experience driving through the herd of horses which are super curious and nice. The house is well-equipped and the host is super helpful and friendly. When we were there, there were only ours and one more room taken and we had plenty of space, I’m not sure what it’s like when all the rooms are occupied, but for us it was perfect.

I've been here 10 years ago and happily came back - it is still a very special place, which is definitely worth the little detour from the main road. Go horse riding there, it is simply magical :)
