Not full of luxury but perfect for the 'adventure' style I needed. Clean, cozy, and well manicured. Breakfast buffet included. The restaurant and bar also made a wonderful dinner per my reservation for a table. Great staff and service.

for the price point, may be opt for apartment as options as a hotel room is pretty basic. The establishment has a restaurant, but there are other nearby options that opens to the same dinner hours anyway, in case you are worrried about finding food. breakfast was mediocre considering they have their own restaurant.

The rooms were not soundproofed and I do have heard noises during the night.

The breakfast was pretty good with a lot of choices. Parking free. Rooms big enough. Good location for a night stay on the road. We were lucky and enjoyed a clear sky full of stars.

Restaurant very overpriced with poor selection. Our room included breakfast but in our first morning we had to leave the hotel early; they would not give us a small breakfast early. We could have bought breakfast again!

They take a 40.000 ISK (~300 euros) deposit with check-inn (in case of damages) and this is not advertised in advance at all. We didnt had any credit card or cash with us. We pay by the phone, we were sugested to go to an ATM to give them in cash. You cant use a phone card on an ATM. In resume this was a non-sense and bad experience for us. Specially qhen we are locals and been staying there for many times. Also if there are damages, maybe they can afterwards process a claim to the user though booking.com but not ask for such a deposit at the very last minute. Maybe because of this, I will look for another place to stay when I go arround again.

I have stay here many times, they have been improving the facilities, and the breakfast menu is better everytime. Good location for trips in the south. Quiet place, rooms are spacious, comfortable, the breakfast is very good, and complete. Now they offer sausages and beans aswell. Very good!

Not much. It is simple, and breakfast isn't super exciting, but it is filling. There isn't much to eat around (there are a couple gas stations nearby and one or 2 places to go out to) but you can eat on site.

We decided last minute to not go as far east as planned. We wanted to stay closer to our current location. This place was very close and was of th4 cheaper options (but not a hostel). It is in a beautiful area. Lots of trails, even in winter. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Restaurant on site that we eat a snack and desert at. It was good. There aren't many options here to eat, so it is pricey. We also had breakfast included. Room was fine for the night. I am pretty sure it is meant for a group travel stay (like the 7 day tours from the city around the Golden circle). However, it was great for our 1 night "layover" in town

No tea spoons in the rooms to stir your tea or coffee (only sticks) so needed to ask for some in reception.

Well sized and warm rooms (important when you arrive from your winter walks). Good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff (we got two rooms beside each other).

Hotel was already paid for but they asked me again on arrival for the credit card which never happened to me before. No utensils in the rooms (so we had to ask for some at the reception) only sticks to stir your tea or coffee.

Great location off the Ring Road. Good size rooms (although a bit basic) and good breakfast with plenty of choice (served in the restaurant in separate building). Plenty of parking.

Nothing, we would stay again at the hotel given the chance!

The location of the hotel is very scenic and just an hour from Vik and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit basic but they were sufficient for our stay and the beds were really comfortable! There are a few common areas where you can spend time and the hotel also has a restaurant where you can get buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner, and we can really recommend the food of the restaurant, too!

There was almost no noise proofing in the wood cabins. We could hear loud snoring from the next cottage ( sharing the bedroom wall) and had very little sleep due to that issue. Also breakfast was only until 9:30, which was little restrictive.
