Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaLovely small guesthouse that has everything you need for a comfy overnight stay. Rooms are simple but clean, there is a big kitchen downstairs where you can cook dinner and nice breakfast is served in a cozy cafe that is part of the guesthouse.

SingaporeGreat location with food stands across the street and a stroll to a beautiful lookout point. With unique, antique furniture and a rustic feel to the guesthouse, it was comfortable and the parking is just next to the guesthouse. It was a clean, comfortable guesthouse with a full kitchen in a very charming seaside town! Had a lovely stay.

United StatesThe curtains didn't block the light completely. Needed an eye mask for sleep. Just something to be aware of. 🙂
Nice room with a queen size bed and bunk beds to sleep two more. Clean shared bathroom with shower facilities downstairs. Nice kitchen and dining room downstairs. There is even a washing machine in the kitchen to do laundry! Overlooks the harbor, beautiful views from the bedroom window. Fix your own meals or restaurant options right around the corner. Great breakfast provided in the morning from 0800 to 0900. Friendly and helpful host. Self check in was easy with door codes provided and plenty of free parking either in back or in the parking lot across the street. Great base to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula. A very charming place to stay.

LatviaOther than my partner commenting on an unknown smell, nothing in particular.
Our room was located at the 1st floor (basement). In terms of sleeping comfort and quietness - all good. Liked the location - near the docks. If the weather allows, please check out the island with the lighthouse. Used the kitchen for some meal prep. Liked that they had a coffee (moka) maker. Liked that they have a shelf for free food that other travelers/staff have left for taking. Liked the showers. Had some shampoo, hairdryer and baskets for used towels. Good enough Wi-Fi for a Teams call. Automatic doors can opened from a mobile app. Thus less likely to get locked out your room. Free parking in the front.

AustraliaFor some reason we didn't receive a PIN to enter the property or our room & the guesthouse was unstaffed when we arrived. But as we booked through Bookings website that may be their fault, not the fault of the guesthouse. But a quick phone call to the number on their website & it was sorted out by the friendly, helpful staff.
The room was quiet & the beds were warm & comfortable. The kitchen facilities were great & the bathrooms were clean with plenty of stalls. The staff we spoke to were very friendly & helpful, too, & the location of the guesthouse was great.

FinlandThe mattress was pretty hard and there could have been more plugs in the family room (only near one bed and we had 5 ppl).
The place is decorated well to provide everyone with a cozy atmosphere. All facilities are in good and clean condition. The kitchen is well equipped and the place has lounge areas in mutiple levels. Toilets are in every level, three showers in both the women's and men's side + plenty of hot water! Near the hostel is a delicious restaurant Skúrinn, where the staff was super helpful with food restrictions. I would definitely stay again.

PanamaExcellent place. I called it the ghost hostal (this is good! lol) because I received a message prior to my arrival with all instructions. They have parking but also there's a larger public parking right up front. We arrived, parked, used the pin code to get in the hostal and our room. Made ourselves at home, never saw any staff. The place is SO cozy, I love it. Its also right by the docks and walking distance to all restaurants and the bar (yes, there's only one haha).

United KingdomThe room is very small so this place is good if you're just sleeping for the night but if you're spending much time in the room or have a lot of luggage you may want something bigger. There's no real staff so if you want or need assistance on hand from staff then you may want elsewhere.
Great location. Hot and great showers, large common room, kitchen and public area. The breakfast looked good and proper and tasty coffee (not the standard filter coffee iceland seems to have a lot).

Israelthe hotel rooms are very small but we did not expect it to be more than that. The place have dining room and kitchen downstairs which we used for family outstanding dinner! there is big supermarket nearby open from 1000-2000 and the kitchen is well equipped. (the only problem was that you need to wait for others to finish cooking or cook together. we used the washing machine as well for our laundry. the showers and toilet are public but quite clean and close to your rooms. in general, it was one of our best evenings in Iceland...!

AustraliaThere wasn’t anything to dislike.
Loved the location and the view from our room #10. We cooked our own dinner in the kitchen and were able to relax in the dining/lounge area. Beds were comfortable and we didn’t have to wait for a shower in the shared bathroom. The electronic keyless door system works well.
