Throughout the check-in process, everything was extremely smooth and Disa was able to help us check in to the property even when she was out. There was a small mistake from my end as I had booked the wrong room type but this was also settled very easily with no stress in a friendly and agreeable way. The property itself is wonderful and very recently renovated and very tidy, it’s the perfect door into the real Rekajavik and you get a very warm and friendly hug like being at home, which is really what you want. Disa made the effort to even take us out to a concert to truly experience Icelandic culture. That was special and unique. Disa goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. So much so that when we returned to the capital we had booked a different property which was really below any reasonable standards I connected Disa straight away and was able to experience this wonderful property for a second time. Excellent property, excellent owner, excellent location.

Dísa greeted us very warmly, took us to our room and showed us the house, which turned out to be very beautiful and cozy. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is warm, quiet and cozy, next to a beautiful park.

It was very quiet and clean. Decent distance from the center of the city, which was convenient for us since we had a car. The host also gave us some great restaurant recommendations.

The accomodation was first class, and exceptionally tidy. It was in a great location a couple of miles from the city centre. There is a superb bakery/cafe 200 metres away, as well as a convenience store and noodle bar

Perhaps the only thing that could be improved is the check-in. This was in part my fault because I simply turned up and Dísa wasn't around, but she quickly got back to me and came over in fairly short notice.

Absolutely excellent stay! Although I mostly spent the evenings at Casa Dísa, since I was exploring Iceland during the day, she made sure to provide enough information to help me enjoy the local area and plan my activities. She's also an extremely kind and warm person. My room was spacious and had a view into a beautiful garden. Overall, I found it to be of excellent value.

We had a beautiful, accommodating host who showed us around the area and taught us about traditional Icelandic food. The room was comfy and big, the house itself was just gorgeous. When we come back, we will definitely stay here again!

Location,bakery,ice cream shop which they were both nearby , bus stop to town metres away and the host Disa ,wonderful.The bakery has rhe best coffee and variety of food.The ice cream is a treat, people come from miles around for both shops and they are within 100 metres. Disa the host is amazing nothing is any trouble,so helpful in so many ways.There is a local heated pool nearby as well.This place is not in town,but for the cost saving its worth the drive if you have a car or if not the bus is so close.The other shops that handy is the local grocery shop near the bakery and a shopping centre about 1 km away,for great takeaway.

The house was amazing and disa could not have possibly been more friendly. She went through a map of Reykjavík with me and told me about different places to visit. The bathroom was a total luxury with heated floor and all. I found the bed to be very comfortable and the house was so clean.

We booked and pre-paid a separate apartment with kitchen and own bathroom for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were offered but a small room embedded in the owners' house, a shared bathroom and co-use of kitchen. As we refused to accept this, we had to wait for over an hour for the owner to get home. She then insisted the apartment was rented out for other guests, that we had booked but the room integrated in her house, and she was not prepared to pay full or partial compensation and to find a compromise formula for the pre-paid sum of over 420 Euros. We were obliged to take up the case with booking.com. Finally we had to find another place late in the evening and had 3 nights stay in Reykjavik at double costs.
