Staff was kindly waiting for us coming late at night. First impression was really great and amazing. Superfriendly staff, a lot of privacy, nice visitors, beautiful restaurant with ocean view. We had a great time in beautiful Agonda village.

The food needs a lot of work, which is perhaps because it’s a brand new property and needs to find its feet. No deck chairs for the beach.

The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The breathtaking views from my room added an extra touch of magic to my stay. The staff at The shore agonda truly went above and beyond to make my visit memorable.

For the price we would have liked better coffee and better food. As the place just started we understand that there is room for improvements. Else we would have given 10/10

However, I would be very hesitant to book again. Nothing drastic but for the money paid, there are lots of little annoyances that result in a disappointing stay. - we preagreed early check in, on the day this wasn’t possible, but no worries this happens. We were sat with our bags, no welcome drink to bide the time. - we requested birthday decorations as a 30th birthday trip via email and it was agreed. No decor done. ‘Oh well’ it was complimentary. - once in the room we experienced several powercuts but only for a couple of minutes. We didn’t mind as your on the beach and these things happen. But, on the second night it lasted over 15 mins mid shower and not one member of staff apologised, checked we were ok or even warned this could happen - our room had a very frustrating lock. On the first morning we woke to find we were locked in the room. There is no phone to call reception, thankfully we had a data plan and could ring for help. The manager did come but couldn’t fix it so sent for a carpenter. We sat around for an hour waiting but heard nothing so reluctantly, left our room unlocked taking our valuables with us to the beach. - the rooms aren’t cleaned ‘unless you ask’ we found out on check out. So for a 2 night stay all rubbish was gathering. When commenting on this at check out we were told ‘no one was in your room at 11.30 when we asked to clean it, the room was locked’. Firstly; we weren’t aware you had to ask and agree a time for cleaning and 2nd, this is not true as we left the room unlocked all day due to the lock issue. We can get over rubbish and towels for 2 nights but mugs etc aren’t replaced so 2nd morning we couldn’t have tea. You might think ‘ask the staff’ but there was never anyone around. We sat in the lobby 20 minutes trying the check out, then when we were asked about our stay, spent over 30 mins waiting for more senior staff to arrive and repeat conversations.

The location & the modern decor was appreciated. Great view from bed and definitely felt a more luxury stay. Unfortunately the decor and service doesn’t align.
