Bed size is very small. The corner sofa is almost unusable, even to sit comfortably. At this price point we expect at least a bigger sofa inside room to sit comfortably.

One side of the hotel rooms have magnificent views of the garden and the mountain. However, the other side faces the road and the wall. Unfortunately, I got the room on the other side that was noisy because of the road and no great view. I would advise guests to confirm if you can get the view first. If not, it could be a huge miss for the price you pay.

The facilities and the hotel in itself was wonderful and cozy.

Too many calls to remind on meals

This was perhaps one of the most memorable of stays in India and the heritage property is one of the most gorgeos ever. The reception staff, manager, housekeeping staff especially Maya and the restaurant staff were exceptional. The food is very good and since we were at the time of lower occupancy the al lacarte breakfast was beautiful . The lawns and Gazebo are absolutely gorgeous as well.

the heaters were not enough for the large size rooms. one of our rooms was visited by one of the local rodents!

perched on a small hill the sweeping views of the valley and mountains are splendid. the manicured gardens look wonderful first thing in the morning when you look out of the windows of this magnificent heritage building which is majestic in its appointments. the bar is warm cosy and plush with leather upholstery and the dining hall befits the presence of royalty!

There are NO charging poitns in the room. Major upgrades are needed. The food was also average.

Behaviour of some of the guests towards our Dog.

Quaint heritage property with a friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh, homely and comforting. Lower rooms have fans which was required during the day. They prepared food for our dog and their own dog Ferro is adorable, old and harmless. The rooms were cleaned with care especially since we were living with a shedder.

The rooms were not as shown on site.All their rooms donot have same size or view and this detail must be specified before one books in the booking.com site I had 4 rooms booked and the price is rather steep.... in only one room i got the size and view as was shown in site. So that was a disappointment

But it is very poorly maintained. The corridors are smelly, North Indian food pretty average, service time slow. It needs a good manager to lift the place up.

There is nothing much to do in the city Kalimpong. But the property has excellent unadulterated view of the mountains.The property has old world charm. The taxi service provided through Nanda Chettri is excellent. We got in touch with him through the hotel itself. But when our daughter fell ill, every single request was answered in record time and medicine was with us within 5 minutes maximum. That is surely commendable.

Being wooden floor, the foot movement noise is annoying. Especially if naughty children around running around always might drive you crazy.

The location is awesome with beautiful view of the Himalayan Ranges. The property has been immaculately maintained. The granduer and opulence is worth mentioning. As it is a hertitage property the owners have really taken extra care to maintain the same and add to it, which really commendable.
