I liked almost everything, the location is good but it's 15 mins down hill walk to mall road and you get cab any time. Need to just inform the owner they will arrange cab with reasonable price for sightseeing or visiting the mall road.

The rooms were really wonderful, the view was awesome. The attitude of the owner was mind-blowing, they were very humble and assisted us with any kind of assistance required. Price was reasonable for both rooms and food. It was kind of homely atmosphere and did not have any issue travelling with aged people and a 5year kid. Service was really fantastic. All over its a very good homestay with perfect location, price, service, and room condition with perfect decoration and all necessity item required for stay.

The property was very clean and very well maintained and Jayashree was very friendly starting from the initial stage from booking till we left the place. Adding to that breakfast was very good.

The roads to the homestay were slightly steep and narrow, but the taxi drivers managed just fine. It is about 20 mins walk to the Darjeeling station, and 5 mins drive (without traffic). The steep roads were a bit challenging to walk down so wear sturdy shoes so you don't slip, and coming back up walking will require a little bit of stamina. But you can easily get taxis for about 300 rupees to and from the homestay and main center.

Beautiful chalet homestay with balcony offering fantastic views perfect for watching sunsets when it's not too cloudy. Excellent hosts who are a family, making us feel extremely welcomed and at home, offering us Darjeeling teas and biscuits on arrival. Jayashree managed all the communications with us, and was quick on her responses on Whatsapp and helped us sort out a driver for our full day tour around Darjeeling and other spots. Checking in was really easy and convenient, with the hosts warmly welcoming us on our arrival. Jayashree is the best host I've ever made, and she genuinely cared about our stay and did her best to ensure we had a comfortable stay throughout, catering to our requests as best she could (e.g. leaving at 5am on our last day to catch our flight, making us delicious breakfast before we left for our day-trip at 7am, etc.). She is also lovely to chat with, about her family and her hometown. I want to also point out that the breakfast was not only delicious, but had many varieties, consisting tea, eggs, toasts, butter, potato curry, naan bread, and fruits. I had the most wonderful stay at this homestay and can't recommend it enough!

We had a fabulous overnight stay at Ridge View. Jayashree and her team were the perfect hosts. The location has amazing views and is within walking distance of The Mall. And the apartment was spacious and very comfortable, and great value for money. I only wish that we could have stayed longer !

Great location. Right off of the mall road with a picturesque view of Kanchenjunga. Host Jayashree is very friendly and offers great advice for local sightseeing. Her hospitality was top class and I'd recommend her place to other guests.

We had a really memorable stay at the Ridge View. Great location about 20 minutes from the centre of town, with the most amazing views of the Himalayas (hint: get up early to enjoy the best views!). Jayashree and her family were super helpful and the personal touch they gave really made our stay in Darjeeling memorable. Thank you!!

About 1.2 km from the mall road and the cab is a little difficult to find in evening hours. But they compensated with dropping us at the mall themselves. I am really thankful for that.

The property is at a very serene place with clear view of the hills with 2 double bed bedrooms and one attic bedroom with another 2 beds, separate dining space, 2 bathrooms with exceptional cleanliness. The host and other members of family are absolute gems of persons, who many times go beyond usual customer relations to serve. Loved the cooking and they never game me chance to complain about non availability of non veg food. zomato is available. The property is at the gates of saint Paul school, home to many Bollywood movie shooting.

It's a little away from the main area so quite a bit of walking everywhere is required. But the distance from the Mall etc. is mentioned in the description of the place.

The host, Jayashree, was excellent. She made sure that we were comfortable. She is warm and friendly (and so was her sister and other staff). We almost missed our flight because our booked vehicle could not turn up in time (due to the massive traffic jams) and Jayashree went out of her way to find other cars for us and suggested alternative, faster routes for the drivers to take, so that we could catch our flight [which we did :)]. She even gave us complementary homemade atta (flour) momos and since we were keen to taste aloo-mimi she provided us with that as well! The rooms were good and the little attic was lovely, with a wonderful view. One of the bathrooms was bigger than the other one. Overall enjoyed our stay and interacting with the Host.
