I had an amazing experience staying at this place, we stayed with my family to see bit of Jodhpur, the staff and hotel managers were very accommodating. We wished if we could stay for bit longer than usual, perhaps next time. All the very best, my parents loved the place, it is very well looked after, we also enjoyed having dinner and breakfast here.

I can't think of anything which disappointed me at all.

Really nice unusual room with sitting area. Lovely thick stone walls keeping the room cool and an efficient fan. Good shower and comfortable bed. Lovely staff who helped me when I was poorly and a very nice rooftop area for breakfast and dinner with an awesome view of the fort ! The owners were very friendly and helped us order tuk-tuks to get about the city. I just loved this hotel and won't hesitate to go back if I ever get the chance !

    Nothing. Everything exceed our expectations

Rani Mahal is probably one of the only hotels in India we would come back to. It is located on a small street in the middle of the old blue city. The hotel will send a tuk tuk to pick you up (free of charge) as the road is not accessible by car. When you enter the heritage hotel you will have a big suprise. It is like entering an oasis of peace and beauty. The owner greets every guests at arrival and makes sure all your wishes are met. Interior of the hotel is beautiful and there is a nice rooftop restaurant with an amazing view to the fort. Our room had a beautiful design and was super comfortable and clean (to western standards). Big bed with fresh smelling sheets. Bathroom was big, with toiletries, towels and most important hot water available. Minifridge and a kettle with tea & coffee was also available. They also helped us with drycleaning our clothes after Holy festival and did a great job at removing all colors. We enjoyed a nice vegetarian dinner and also had a massage during our stay. We highly recommend staying in Rani Mahal when in Jodhpur. You will not be dissapointed.

Absolutely nothing although my son did miss out on having meat as retaurant is vegetarian. We got a tuk tuk from the airport as cars cannot drive into this historical city. Great experience from start to finish.

Everything was fantastic. Nisha and her daughter who run the hotel met us on arrival. They arranged our train to Jaipur and a laundry clean. They helped us organise a tuk tuk to bring us to the gardens and the palace in the outskirts of town. We walked to the fort via a short cut which they told us of. Room was beautiful stone over 450 years old and compared to other hotels I felt they made the most of giving us modern day amenities in a heritage building. Food is fab if you like vegetarian and the rooftop restaurant overlooked by the fort is spectacular.

The bathroom floor unfortunately filled with water every time we showered. Some staff seem to be VERY keen and expecting tips to be handed to them, even though it is clear that there is a box at reception for gratitudes if one feels like it. The hotel was a bit expensive for what it was, but in the end we really did enjoy our stay.

The hotel is very pretty, located in an old town building, our room was spacious and comfortable (we opted for the suite with balcony) Location is great, 10 min from the Fort. There are not many food places around but the rooftop terrace served very tasty (albeit slightly overpriced) vegetarian meals.

Unique Old Town Haveli Stay in Jodhpur
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Executive Suite
    • Stayed 2 nights

The bathroom was adequate by USA standards - the toilet worked fine and there was paper, but your knees touched the shower wall. The shower was not up to USA standards - it did not have a curtain and there was warm water enough for a very short shower. Definitely don't forget to turn on the water heater. The staff did this for us, but I didn't understand when they told me about it and I ended up turning it off by accident - first day was a cold shower, but my own fault :) Although it was part of the experience and I would recommend this place, it is about a 10 min tuk-tuk ride from where a car can drop/pick up. I enjoyed the adventure of it, but possibly not everyone would.

Staying in a several hundred year old haveli has its pluses and minuses. The facility was beautiful but not designed for a hotel. Our room had a large seating area and a separate bedroom with a very small bathroom. It was very comfortable but there were no windows. The room was clean, the service was excellent, and the rooftop dining was nice (it would be nicer with non-metal chairs). The food was good.

Just was not aware until the very last-minute that hotel was accessible only via tuk tuk since roads were too narrow for other vehicles.

Beautiful heritage building with decorated rooms. The staff were superb at every stage, couldn't do enough for us and were very friendly. The rooftop has a lovely view of the fort. The last day they did an early wake up call with coffee and pancakes!
