Friendly and democratic atmosphere. Cosy, charming, cute, easy to find, deeply Indian style. Just few steps from Ganga. Nice panorama on the roof. The swing on top floor brings back to inner child. Welcoming staff always around to help. Special thanks to Ashu - such a cheeky spirit, made me feel like at home. Posibilities for privacy and socialisation are in perfect harmony. The property is cash only which wouldn't normally be an issue except I was hard pressed finding an ATM that actually had cash in it near the area (ended up trying six different ones but also had to walk a long way with bundles of cash on me as I stayed 4 nights). I overlooked this in the detailed pre-arrival instructions provided by the staff and highly recommend you get money out before arriving in Varanasi. It seems a fundamental to western tourists but toilet paper isn't supplied (you can get this from a laneway convenience store nearby).

Property has a lot of character and an interesting location in the maze of alleyways of the old town - this has its pros and cons in terms of getting around as the area is 10-15min walk to nearest tuktuk/taxi pick up point and can feel a bit disconcerting as a solo traveller until you get your bearings in daylight but the staff were great walking to meet me on arrival. The plus side is it is walking distance to ganga aarti and lots of hidden cafes. Staff were helpful and responsive to my requests. It feels a bit like staying in someone's home but short of a home stay they also respect your privacy if you want it.

The bed sheets weren’t very clean. I found hair under the pillow and a spider web on the sheet. It might have just fell on it. But still, I think it should be cleaned a bit more. Also the guests kitchen is really a nice thing to have, but the equipment isn’t very usable. For example, I wanted to use the water kettle and it was so covered in limestone that it was unusable really. I red in the reviews that

The architecture, the food at the cafe on the rooftop, the cleanliness of the bathroom and the feeling of security inside the residency. Also, the staff was extremely helpful and always checking if everything is alright ! They arranged a yoga class for me on a short notice and it was so good! Even if it was low season and we were only 3 guests, they tried to provide me with ideas of tours.

A little more care to cleanup the ground floor and make it more presentable would help.

The room was value for money. For a solo traveler who needed to be near the ghats, this was a great choice. Breakfast was okay but healthy. The caretaker Shiv was very helpful, helped me get taxi for Sarnath and airport.

The only downside was that the bathroom was a bit cramped.

The property is lovely and well-located, with courteous staff that made our stay pleasant. They offer the convenience of airport transfers for an additional fee, which was very helpful. Overall, a good experience.

The kitchen is not well equipped and has old appliances. Rooms have old furniture. If you have luggages be prepared to carry it for 350 - 500 meters depending how close the taxi can bring you.

It was very close to a ghat and you can feel the vibe of Varanasi. AC and Wifi worked very good.

The hotel is well preserved, the inner yard is lovely and the common spaces are cozy and feel comfortable to spend time there. The room was clean and spacious and the common bathroom was always clean. The location was right next to the ghats and also really close to the old city. The people were very helpful in every request. It really made a difference in my days in varanasi and I recommend it 100%.

There is no tuk tuk nor car entrance anywhere close. Lots and lots of walking required, which at night can be a bit off-putting.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, old heritage building with charm. Location is great, right in the heart of the old city, extremely close to the ghats and the evening aarti. All the events are happening right at your doorstep.

Breakfast was just ok, little and plain. I would advise people who have walking problems to ask for a room on first floor, since the stairs are steep and narrow.

The place was comfortable and clean, near major attractions. Staff was very professional, suggesting places to go, drawing a make so we could locate ourselves.

This guesthouse is real gem in the centre of Varanasi. Very cosy and comfort and extremely clean with exceptional staff. It is also worth of mention that is managed by NGO so the part of the income goes for education of girls and for protection of Varanasi heritage:)

Problems with water, it’s very limited. We had a very weak water stream in the shower.

Very good's location, helpful staff, managed all of it tours. We really liked the massage services offered by the hotel, professional masseurs!
