The washrooms could be cleaner

- Room was not worth the price. We booked old world heritage room. - Swimming pool didn’t have running water. Water felt like it was there for a long time. - Few items were really good in breakfast but few items were terrible. Expectation was to at least maintain a standard. - Guided tour was boring. It should have been more informative and rich in history.

The property is huge and involves a lot, I mean a LOT, of steps and steep inclines. This place is not for those with weak legs, and an absolute no for those needing wheelchairs. I guess this is the reason for not offering room service and the slow response time to any requests. There is an obvious lack of signage owing to which one gets lost. The prices do not justify either the room or the food.

I am sure everyone has praised the location and the beauty of the fort. For me, the best thing was the warm welcome by the staff and their service with a smile. Each staff member treated us like family, and this added to the charm. Special thanks to Avinash for his quick replenishment of my beer. And to (Mr) Poonam for preparing the digestive formula fresh for us.

There were lizards in my room. I chased one out of home before I left only to find two more in my hotel room :( The shower wasn't functional as most of the holes were blocked. I would have liked to see more photos of the room while booking as I would have opted for a better one. My room was rather small with make do washroom and bathing areas.

Breakfast was good, the fort is beautiful especially with the lights on, swimming pools are nice and well maintained. The staff is also courteous and welcoming. I avoided staying in the room too much as that's the only thing that I didn't like.

My stay was really nice but in the end it became really bad. The manager at reception made it worse by making us wait for 30-40 minutes and we had to go through up and down their so many stairs.

The food was really good. Property is well maintained.

Be prepared to climb! This fort is built on the side of a mountain with many different levels. Our rooms were ‘low’, but still required many ramps and stairs. Thankfully, the porters hump your luggage to your rooms for you.

It’s a magical labyrinth of terraces, pools, paths and gardens. It gains even more atmosphere in the evening when the lights come on.

Orientation to the dining area is a little comfusing

It could be unfriendly to those with bad knees. Most certainly not for senior citizens.

The location, the 18th century feel.. that is still preserved. The live song and dance show in the evening added to the charm.

Since it is a fort and entire property is developed out of fort , having steep footpaths. Under this situation property must deploy room service . Unfortunately this facility was not there to save few bucks for property tariff

Disliked - 1. The approach to hotel is a very steep and narrow road fit for only one vehicle 2. The parking is uncovered and the birds (pigeons) there will ruin your car 3. A lot of stairs and thus could be really hard for old people and people with disabilities

Liked - 1. Location 2. Food 3. Accommodation 4. Staff behavior 5. Facilities Perfect weekend getaway from Delhi/NCR. Great for with family or with partner. Highly recommended.

We did not like: - the new addition (buffet restaurant/conference room side) - the crowd of families and unruly children - the view (but nothing they can do about it) - the noisy staff banging doors and speaking & laughing loud outside our door.

Amazing property (the original part). Been wanting to go for over 20 years. Was not disappointed. Great room (Maha Burj)

Room was little on the small side

The location is stunning. We were sorry only to spend one night here. Unfortunately didn't have time to visit the spa. Staff were friendly and helpful and choice of food excellent
