Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomA life changing opportunity to experience rural life in Rajahstan. Om and his family were the best hosts and the food was delicious. It was a privilege to learn about rural life and experience it first hand. We will miss the family a lot and will definitely stay in touch, especially about cricket!

United KingdomNothing to say here, all good.
Stayed with a friend of mine for one night whilst in Jaisalmer. So glad we found this place and would highly recommend anyone to visit for a night or two. From the get go Om was super helpful, contacted us to organise getting to the property and answered all questions we had. On arrival to the location we were pleasantly surprised with how peaceful and clean it was. The mud huts were great to sleep in, I felt very connected to nature and we both sleep incredibly well. Basic as expected but with all the necessities and a very unique experience. The food was fantastic. Oms wife cooked fresh vegetables, daal, rice and roti for our evening meal. I was very grateful to eat home cooked tasty food. It was a nice break from all the heavy curries we’d been eating in the run up! Whilst visiting we also received henna tattoos and were taken to the local village where we shared chai with the locals. Om also offered a safari tour which we were not able to do.

United KingdomWhile travelling across India on our motorcycles, my partner and I decided to visit Mala Ki Dhani. The host is a friendly and warm hearted man called Om, he was proactive and made sure our needs were met. The location was a wonderful change from the bustle of the city, we enjoyed the cosy and natural accommodation, campfires, and delicious home cooking! For animal lovers, there were also cute goats and puppies. Many thanks to Om and family for creating such a rememberable getaway!

Om and his family welcomed us in a very warm and friendly way. The surroundings are beautiful and authentic. We slept in a cabin and it was fun. We were able to admire the stars near a fire, eating a delicious food, cooked by Om's wife. Chatting with the other guests was fun too. I highly recommend to spend a few nights there. Do not forget to take warm clothes with you during winter.

NorwayIt gets a bit cold at night in the winter, so bring good clothes. But they have GREAT blankets as well!
We loved everything here! We’ve been travelling India for 2 weeks now staying in lots of both hotels, hostels and homestays, but this is by far the favorite place we’ve stayed so far! Om and his family were amazing, and really made us feel at home here. He is a great host and conversation partner and will help you with anything. His wonderful wife cooked us delicious food, and even did henna on me for free. The property itself is so charming, and feels really peaceful away from the hustle of the city. The nightsky and bonfire here in the evening is something you have to experience. I would love to come back to stay longer some time!

Om and his children are great . The stay is all about simple village life . No electricity but we didn’t miss it either . I actually read a book in the moonlight and was really fascinating . How people in olden times could survive without all the gadgets and amenties. Food was awesome . Just go there to relax and unwind from the hustle bustle of city life .

An unusual place on the map of India. You must come there for at least 1 night (and if you have time, longer) if you are looking for peace away from the hustle and bustle of Jaisalmer, a friendly atmosphere created by the hosts, a sky full of stars, delicious and healthy food, MALA KI DHANI is the place for you. Additionally, the host is very willing to talk about life in India. The history of this place is amazing. If we ever come back to Jaisalmer, we will definitely come back to Om and his family.

IndiaI loved the authenticity of the place and generosity of Om Bhati and Harish. Property was “as it is” as shown in pics. Atmosphere around the place was peaceful. Attentiveness of Om Bhati bro is exceptional. He helped us to plan places to visit according to our schedule. I could see foreign visitors staying at the property and that tells kind of desi experience they are providing. Thank you so much Om for your hospitality and I wish we shall meet again.

Om Ji, I loved you and your family. You guys are so kind hearted and very very helpful. You truly reminded me of my child hood days, when I used to stay in my village, that in spite of lagging modern facilities, still it was very very close to my heart and close to nature. I loved this concept of preserving our post independence period memories, when there was no electricity, no modern facilities, and still we used to remain healthy and remain close to family and nature. I would like to mention one thing that may help upcoming guests those are coming with their kids - be careful with your kids during night time, because there is no power grid electricity supply in this area, and kids usually go on playing here and there without thinking of sticks and sharp corners found at certain places, of which usually we are not aware of. Such things may hurt your kids if you will not keep an eye on them during night time. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to experience history of Indian villages, and like to be close to nature. Thank you!!

Clean bathroom, Clean cool huts, Awesome food, Solar powered lights in our rooms at night, Comfy beds, and warm blankets. Om bhayya. One of the best hosts i have ever met. And the village is the best place i've ever stayed in years. Mala Ki Dhani a heaven in Rajasthan. At first when I booked the rooms at Mala Ki Dhani I was not sure if my family could go through with the stay in desert. But surprisingly from the first day we arrived, there was no doubt that we will be safe in his hands. Even though it was 4am he picked us, he helped us with sufficient blankets and a room. We felt like we reached home again. Even my mother being in her late 50s enjoyed the stay. Comfy and Warm blankets, Loving, Caring people all around us. Om bhayya’s wife pappu, cooked amazing food for us. Taught my sister how to cook Simple Rajasthani style(The best food we had in our Rajasthan trip). Their cute children played cricket and accompanied us on small evening and morning walks to the nearby temple and hills. It was like we went to our cousin’s place for vacation. I cannot forget to mention Om’s brothers Sumer and Harish. They were helping us out on everything. Making sure we are comfortable. They helped in charging all our gadgets from the nearby village. There is no electricity, but they had solar powered lights at night in each room. It was hot in the afternoons but the huts provided a cool shelter like air-conditioned rooms. He also helped us book and go for desert activities at very good rates. If we are in Jaisalmer again, Om bhayya is our guy. We have a home at Jaisalmer now. Om bhayya we will be back again soon.

United States of AmericaOnly disagreement was that we had to go to a small village to charge our phones, but it was also part of the experience to meet people from the village.
We had an unforgettable experience with Om's family, creating real bound with his wife and children in only 2 days, everyone's kindness and the calm of the location was a perfect way for us to end a 10 days trip to India, intense and loud. The harmony with nature here is unique, living with the sun and the stars, among animals, and Papou's delicious food and ChaÏ

IndiaLots of small things add up to the best imaginable home stay. Om and his family are very warm and welcoming hosts. Pappu is an amazing cook. Food is traditionally cooked, simple but fresh. Huts are cosy, clean and spacious surrounded by most beautiful landscape. The hills in the backdrop make for an amazing walk. A small trek to hill top awaits some of the most mesmerising sunrise and sunset views you'll ever see. Open surroundings give an easy access to the clear and glittering sky. If your luck favours, you can also witness the magic of a shooting star in the clear star-infested sky. The kids are delightful and extremely fun to be with. Harish is also very kind and generous with his assistance. We loved every bit of our stay here and would go back there in a heartbeat.

United Kingdom-
We decided to stay in this beautiful desert area outside Jaisalmer instead of the camel safari, and couldn’t have been happier (tho they do offer camel safari if that interests you) Such a special time it is difficult to put into words An unforgettable homestay with the loveliest family, they take care of a wonderful friendly dog, some friendly adorable goats, and even baby frogs, but the greatest experience was spending time with Om and his family, they are such great hosts and we couldn’t be more thankful. They took us into our home like friends or family. The food is delicious and all cooked by Om’s wife, she also gave me an amazing henna. As it was summer, we and the family all slept outside under the stars, waking up to a special sunrise. They also took us to see the rest of the village nearby that is all one extended family, and everyone we saw welcomed us in for curd or chai. This was the most peaceful time and the most authentic experience by far that we experienced in our whole trip in India

Om and his family are amazing hosts and really look after you as if you were a member of the family. They really went above and beyond, there are four fantastic children as well as lots of great goats to keep you company. Sleeping under the stars is a fantastic experience. The food cooked is plentiful and delicious. A thoroughly fantastic experience which I 110% recommend to anyone. Embrace and enjoy village life.
