Wonderful, albeit too short stay on this lovely traditional houseboat. The food was amazing with a great variety of veg and fish and the team were fantastic, particularly Saji. It was very relaxing cruising slowly around the backwaters and we enjoyed a short guided walk at the end of the day once we'd moored up. Much thought had been put in to ensure guests are comfortable and we certainly were.

Our 3 night stay on this amazing houseboat exceeded our expectations. It is an exquisite and traditional boat and you can feel that when you get aboard. It is so luxurious in every way and the guys on the boat just add to the experience - especially Saji who was just the most memorable, knowledgeable, kind, funny & lovey person. I would easily & happily use Thara again, especially if we were lucky enough to have the same crew. An unforgettable 3 nights

Our houseboat Oscar VII was the best, most authentic boat we saw over the three days that we cruised the backwaters. Traditional woven bamboo roof and wooden hull. Food was freshly prepared each day and was as good and better than any we had the two weeks we were in India.

Had such an amazing time onboard Thara’s houseboat. The backwaters are truly stunning, the food was really tasty and we had the best crew members. The boat was very traditional and great atmosphere, neat and clean. Which was perfect during this time of year . We really recommend Thara’s houseboat must try it 🥰

Houseboats of Tharas houseboat. We needed one bedrooms but the houseboat we stayed in had two,The houseboat was spaceous and comfortable with both a/c and fans in all rooms. There were three crew members, a chef and two crew members who shared the responsibilities of serving and driving the boat. The food prepared by the chef were excellent. He prepared several dishes for every meal. The two other crew members were very helpful. One overnight stay seem amazing ,We would have wanted to stay another night. But next day boat was sold out. It’s a good place to relax and spend time with family.

Nothing really. If I was really going to nit-pick I would mention a better eye for dusting and cleaning of the glass tabletops but really… such a small thing.

Firstly, it is a beautifully well maintained boat. The staff are just lovely from the managers David & Ambly, to the passionate chef, Sargee, who’s food was scrumptious and to the competent boatmen Raju & Jaypal. And who wouldn’t enjoy the beautiful scenery of the waterways? It is just so worth the experience.

This is a MUST in Kerala. With my husband and a couple of friends, we took a traditional ultra deluxe cruise and spent the night on the boat. It was an unforgettable experience. The landscape is breathtaking, and it's beautiful to see how the scenery changes as you navigate through the wide or narrow canals of the backwaters. We spent one night, but I would have loved to stay another day. In the evening, the boat docks in a place where only we were, creating a peaceful and excellent relaxing atmosphere. The boat was impeccable and comfortable, truly flawless. The food was exquisite, offering a wide variety for those who wanted to try the delights of Kerala cuisine or those who preferred something more international. The staff was very friendly and had excellent communication. Unforgettable!

Tharas houseboat is very unique and traditional enriched with cleanliness , the staff were very helpful. The food was amazing we could try authentic kerala style food they served lunch on plantine leaf that was delicious, especially their pearlspot fry decorated with onion , carrot , lemon was suberb , we have seen backwater village area . When you come in Kerala you should take this place you will be definitely happy .

We had the most wonderful stay with Thara’s houseboats. Once on board we were greeted by the three lovely friendly courteous staff who looked after us throughout our stay. The food they provided for us was absolutely delicious. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The cruising speed was just right to allow us to enjoy the view of daily life along the river banks. When evening fell all the insect nets came down to provide us with a very comfortable outdoor evening room to enjoy the fresh air in..
