Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Kalpana, Aaruush and the rest of the family were the best hosts we could wish for. Their help and hospitality were fantastic and made our first days in India very special. They gave us some fantastic recommendations for restaurants within Jaipur and some other hidden gems.

United KingdomAmenities could be improved with body wash, shampoo etc in the shower, however kettle and drinking water provided which was great. Pillows and bedding a little basic but still enough for a short stay
It felt safe and welcoming for a solo traveller and walking distance to some restaurants and cafes with short drive to central bazars.

IndiaBest part about this homestay was the ambience. We came from Delhi for a roadtrip and we felt so peaceful in this artfully designed house which was in a very peaceful location in Jaipur. The room was super clean and the host was very sweet to assist us with everything.

FranceWe had a very good stay at Kalpana, Aaruush and his family took good care of us, providing recommendations and tips. Also, the homemade food was delicious and a good intro to Indian delicacies. The neighborhood has many rooftops and cafes and it's not far from the main points of interests of Jaipur

IrelandThey were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Their friendliness and useful guidance made the trip to India. It was the first place we could switch off and rely on our host to help us with everything from preparing meals for us, recommending fantastic restaurants, organising a taxi tour to the fort and even helping plan the rest of our transit to the next steps on our travels. They also encouraged us to add some hidden gems like Pushkar and Chittorgarh to our travel itinerary, which was lovely.

SingaporePerhaps more amenities can be placed in the room without the need for request. As the price range is on the higher side, the guests usually expect more.
I particularly liked sitting on the balcony while bathing in the gentle December sun of Jaipur. Looking up the sky you see kites flown by the kids in the neighborhood. You hear the shouting of the fruits or vegetable merchants in their passing carts. I love how tasteful the room was decorated, the little garden of the house, and that you could have a home-cooked meal prepared by the helper with advanced arrangement. It is what a homestay is about. You get to have a glimpse of what life is for a local living there. Last but not least, the hospitality by the host is unparalleled. I like how he is willing to share tour information, arrange tours and stand on my side when I was not happy after a tour. Overall, I highly recommend the Kalpana Yoga Homestay for those who wish to experience Jaipur in a local way.

The property is exactly what you would imagine it to be. We felt like we got what we paid for. The family is lovely, specially Aarush who help us book train tickets( without taking out a fee) and organizing trips around Jaipur. We also had breakfast there were we got to try flat rice for the first time, very delicious. They even offer laundry service(for a small fee)which is great. The room we got was pretty silent, couldn’t hear much of the street noise or neighbors. Close by some good restaurants. Walking distance from the train station (15 min walk) Free filtered water and fridge to use. Would definitely stay here again if we got a chance, highly recommend.

SwedenThe only things I would change is the wifi connection in the room, it seems that it was quite weak and my sister and I were not able to do some work from there. But otherwise everything was perfect.
The homestay is a beautiful oasis in the heart of Jaipur, it is the perfect distance from everything. Not too close to the chaos but not too far so you can walk and you have other amazing hotels nearby such as the Pearl Palace for extra choices of food and entertainment. The house itself is gorgeous, with beautiful decorations. Kalpana was so kind to us from the moment we arrived, and her sons, particularly Aruush helped us greatly. He helped us with everything from tours in Jaipur to booking train tickets, so we are grateful for everything he did. It was a beautiful homestay and we recommend it for everyone staying in Jaipur.

AustriaEverything was very pleasant
We had the pleasure to stay with Kalpana and her lovely family at the Yoga Homestay for two nights during the Diwali celebrations. We could not have hoped for a more beautiful time, as we were welcomed so openheartedly for celebrating the festivities of light with an extraordinary firework performed by Aarush and Akshat after we have had a wonderful selfmade dinner and traditional sweets! The day after started with a wonderful Yoga class, focused on Pranayamas by Kalpana, who has incredible knowledge and is an outstanding teacher with the best energy! The homestay is a one of a kind place, where we stayed at a beautifully decorated room with an amazing smell. The location is perfect for exploring the city of Jaipur but also to simply recharge! We hope to come back one day, Antonia and Konstantin

United KingdomSet in a quiet residential area and around the corner from a number of bars and restaurants. Must mention Peacock restaurant which was high-end but fantastic food and drinks with live music so very much recommended. Accommodation was one of 4 rooms, lovely family who were happy to suggest places to go and see. Room was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't want to spend too much so this was a good value find in Jaipur in our opinion.

United StatesThe family here is super nice, honest, and genuinely welcoming. They really take good care of you. The house is the nicest I’ve seen in India, stylish and modern. The rooms are tastefully decorated. It’s also in a nice neighborhood and there are couple of amazing restaurants 2min walk(try Peacock for a fancy rooftop dinner.) I am so glad I stayed here and not in the center of town! You can easily take a tuktuk to wherever you want to go then come back to this sanctuary afterwards!
