Rooms need an upgrade. Facilities need an upgrade. Door locks are old. There was leakage due to rains and the stairs were dripping with water from the rains. One could easily slip. There was water seepage on many walls. Restaurant buffet spread is good but quality and taste of food in breakfast and dining buffet is average. A la carte menu on the other hand was good. I was charged 5k extra for a 10 year old child for two nights which was expensive. Stay rates and breakfast rates are high for the quality offered. Hence rating a 7

Location and view. Most cabs and auto drivers knew the property and hence easy to commute. It was reasonably closer to the main market yet nicely tucked a little away from the noise and crowd.

We were sorry the Games room was not open until 5.30pm; we would have liked to play games earlier in the day. The garden area was lovely

We really appreciated having adjoining rooms and the seating areas in both rooms with wonderful views over Ooty and the hills The staff were friendly and helpful; the welcome tea was delicious The restaurant was excellent and the chefs vey good at explaining which food had allergens which one of our children could not eat.

Food at the hotel was very expensive The bathroom was really small, could'nt even keep my body wash and shampoo while having a shower

Our food charges were 50% of our total bill charges...food is costly...moreover service charge..which shd be optional...has bn added to our food bill bill by default...no food vouchers which contains our sign endorsement has bn attached in our final bill...so we cud not cross check our food bill endorsements with the actual bill

If you get food outside (Swiggy or Zomato) the hotel charge Rs 250 to provide cutleries and plate to your room.

Overall a good stay that can you find at Nilgiris. Good location, courteous staff and clean hotel. One can opt for this stay if you going on a official tour or with your family.

For 9K/day package, the restaurant could have easily added the breakfast which they did not. In house breakfast is super expensive which I did not prefer. Sometimes, you have to call multiple times to remind them for any room service related things.

The breakfast was not included though we had booked 9k/day package. Also, continental breakfast at the hotel was super expensive. Almost 850/- per head is too expensive. So, we just preferred to eat outside.

The food taste and quality needs to be improved. The Breakfast was Okay, however, the in-room food quality was not good. I ordered Chicken pakora's and the chicken was not fresh.

Overall the stay was comfortable, and the rooms were well cleaned. The service was good and the staff was very supportive. The location is amazing, as everything great is nearby, like - The Periodic Table Restaurant, Nursery, Upper Market.

The hotel was a bit far from the center, Uber didn't work in Ooty and when we asked the reception for help with ordering a taxi or a riksha they've sent us to a special desk at the lobby. The guy who worked there gave us an unproportionaly high price of 800 rupees when the price is supposed to be 200-300 rupees max! We now understand he took advantage of the hotel being a bit far from the center and that it was a rainy day. We would give this hotel a review of 10 if it wasn't for that experience.

The staff was great. Amazing breakfast! The room was large and in general the hotel facilities were versatile and interesting.
